Just had an idea in my mind: Homegrown team should have better teamwork and arena attendance.

Besides the merchadising, I think we should encourage managers to adopt the homegrown team. First they should have better teamwork, such as shout during the game with their own language, hand signals and eye contacts. This usually happens in reality.

Second, this should boost in arena attendance. Fans are easily to familiarise their players, and cheering team could sing their songs in local language. This would affect their opponents adversely.

Maybe it is difficult for the full team of homegrown players, I suggest to have a little boost in teamwork if the starting lineup is full of homegrown players. Hope more managers will spend their time and money on training players rather than buying/selling players.

I have a minor suggestion about rivalry ...

Besides the rivals between teams, how about the rivals between players? Could we have stats to show how many game a player played games against another player?

Just like MJ / pippen vs Malone / Stockton , Kobe vs Dirk , Reggie Miller vs MJ, etc. Things got heated up easily between the rival players, 6 fouls or 2 technical fouls to eject players.

This could be funny, not only rival games, but also trade(s) between two rival teams. In football, Luis Figo played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona :)

I'd like to reiterate my previous suggestion of having an option to formally retire a player. You can implement conditions like the player having to be 35+ years old or having lost n% of his peak salary or peak total skill points to prevent abuse.
