you have to get through a lot of unhappy thoughts to reach that conclusion, if you are Hoosier. i had a DIII opponent, at home, last night. he had played his starters in his two league games, and i figured if he was completely rational that he would trot out his bot-level bench for the Cup and accept his fate gracefully -- i plotted a lineup that had deep bench people starting and only two normal starters -- and realized i could be vulnerable if my opponent accepted a ruined GS for his team (and loss of enthusiasm) and went after me -- which he did.
for the first quarter or so, i thought about a season where i am out of the Cup after the first game, and subsequent loss of revenues and GS, but having the opportunity to focus on the league play
-- and my conclusion was that i would rather win and be in my situation than Hoosier's. i avoided the pits of hell, Hoosier was pushed into it.
Anchorage is a very good squad, so he'll get over it, but right now, not a happy Friday.
