My point is that with this option, the teams with high economic capacity would put a maximum offer that clearly it would be difficult for the smaller teams to overcome and it would be impossible to buy a good player because he would be full of automatic offers...


My understanding:

The teams with "high economic capacity", specifically the ones who utilise the TL to get to that capacity, will possibly (likely in my experience) already be online outcompeting the new, or lower economic capacity, manager for those players. Further, and in contrast, the managers with high economic capacity are less likely to overpay for a player, because finance is one of the big factors of success in this game. Maybe I'm missing some things of course, but, if anything, it will put the lower income capacity managers on a level with those high ones. To me it seems more of a tool to level the playing field rather than make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

Of course, with all tools, there are ways to use them for both "good and evil", hence my suggestion of a trial.

The autobid system seems to work very well for Hattrick Soccer and has for years. It's implemented very close to this proposal too. That's all I'm saying.

Hard pass on that one.

There is another game out there with a buy now feature and the developer of that game has openly stated it is a pay to win feature.

You realize this game isn't Hattrick right? Just because a feature may be in one game doesn't mean it should be in every game.

I would add that the time of the season where autobid would be used the most is in the initial post-draft frenzy. The site is already unstable then. Adding another feature like this will only make that instability worse.

I disagree partially here.

Rich teams still wouldnt overpay as much as you think for a player, whos auction ends in the night. As much as you want a bargain, they dont want to overpay. No Manager would just put in a 5m$ bid on a 1m$ player and risk this ending up being 1.5m$ because someone is desperate and needs to overpay massively.

The human factor is still in play, because everyone has to think about the value and what they are realistically willing to pay, before giving a max bid.

You should be able to cancel your max bid if you want, at any time.

Keep in mind, there are people like me, who dont have a lot of time to keep checking auctions ect. I lost dozens upon dozens of personal and players, because i didnt have the time to stay active during bidding. This would give me a somewhat fair chance to score a player, even if i cant be present
