Game 4 recaps

Crazy''s at Dutchmen

Turnovers are what you don't want and defense is what you need. Cleveland didn't have success with either and it showed. Big man Marmolejo was in foul trouble from the get go and the Crazy's frontline collapsed in the first half. Lousy defense against a stellar guard tandem proved to be costly as Romary and Hutson combined for 62. Bottom line is The Dutchmen were the superior team at their place and the Crazy's couldn't hack it tonight. Dutchmen 98 Crazy's 88

Flames at VD's

Nothing to report here Flames have packed it in forthe season. VD's 99 Flames 37

Phantoms at Tachenko

Phantoms keep on rolling! It is not often that you see Tachenko getting rolled on the boards but with Mayagoita on the bench it is no wonder. Big man Martinez put in 30 for Tachenko but it is not enough as Phantoms put 5 in double digits.
Phantoms 101 Tachenko 62

Terrors at Champaign

Terrors pounded it down low while Champaign shot away. The Terrors contained the dangerous Brightbill and Champaign took care of Hengyi but both teams found other scorers each having 5 in double digits. This one literally came down to the fourth quarter and the Terrors were just better when it counted. Terrors 96 Champaign 88

Challengers at Blasters

Well one team played slooow and low the other pushed to score as much as possible. The Challengers had two teammates in double digit points and rebounds. Normally...........that is a good thing...........just one problem? Who didn't score for the Blasters? Who? Well let me tell you....Blakely and Johansens............Hey I don't know who they are either but you asked. Bottom line too many people scoring for Blasters and not enough for the Challengers. Blasters 93 Challengers 66

Allstars at Cats

What the Peszeni is going on here? Oh just 29 points and 24 rebounds. This would have been a more phenomenal performance had his team not had 24 total turnovers. In the end they could not overcome the turnovers and lost it in the 4th quarter. Allstars 81 Bobcats 73

Crank dat at Phakeouts

Crank dat dey did. 5 guys in double digits was more then enough to overcome Gurklis and his 30. The Soulja Boys came out and ran the Phakeouts out of the gym. With 35 turnovers combined I don't think either coach was pleased and they are sure to have a long locker room talk. Gurklis and boys gurgled at the end. Crank dat 96 Phakeouts 71

Prov City at NP

Well over 200 shots taken in this game folks and that always means................big time scorers. This game did not disappoint. Faeber with 30 and Carmona with 26 was more then enough to overcome Gallano's 40 for NP. As a side note 6 other players were in double digit scoring. A huge fourth quarter by Prov City proved to be too much for the NP as they were outscored by a total of..........exactly what they lost by. Prov City 119 NP 105

Game 4 MVP

Peszeni 29 points 24 rebounds
Romary and Hutsdon 31 each
Martinez 30 and 16

this week you can decide these all rocked this week

woooooooooo......

Mannu makes my team very dangerous this season. A TIE road loss vs a normal from the clear #2 team in my division is exciting stuff. John Barr continues to underwhelm in comparison to Mina but considering he gave me the $ to get Barr and Mannu, I can't complain.

Nice. Glad to see he got healthy quickly for you.

I've sold all my big guns, except for Sean Ryan. But a road TIE against the #1 team in my division handed me a 30-point loss. Need to get some outside defense, which has always been my team's Achilles heel.

I think it makes sense: the one you preferred to keep was also the one other people wanted to buy, and the one you wanted to get rid of was the one nobody else wanted either.

I can't remember their exact skills anymore but for what it's worth I thought they had well placed starting bids and would both probably sell at their prices the 1st time around, and both just barely. It all depends on who's looking for what when you happen to list them, but I can understand people going for the 26 year old, 30k/week less salary, balanced guy.

You're right though; there's a limit to what secondaries can do. At some point you need the primary skills to be at least in the ballpark.

Yeah all good points, going back and looking (forgot they were still for sale) I agree with you. I guess that's just how the market is swinging right now: a little high on secondaries maybe, and still looking for a bottom on middle aged, middle salary players, particularly bigs? Hope things stay this low or keep dropping when I'm in a position to add some pieces.

Switching topics, my cup draw for next week is a bot with 57 players on his roster :)
Anybody else get a good/bad/ugly draw?

Hi guys!
you guys definitely surprised me with all these posts!
I was really disappointed last year that my League barely have anyone talks.

Thanks for all the recaps, they make this game even more entertaining!
Besides Ron Swanson, let me introduce myself to you guys.
My team obviously is Bobcats4Life...which I always get criticize because I'm living in Los Angeles which I dont like Lakers at all
LOL

anyway....last 4 games were acceptable since my team was undergoing a rebuilding mode and now I'm focusing on upgrading every single position even if it means to lose some money weekly...

Hope the new players on my team can take me to another level!

Note: this season focus..I'm just trying to stay in this league and work on my roster and stadium...so go easy on me guys.....HAHAHH
