layups and inside shots also happen with the run and gun here, but normally teams who play run and gun take lot of jumpers else i would call it a different strategy ;) This argument from you would fit better fr the motion offense, which often looks for the layup first and also have the patient to search them.

And i saw it on professionaell level one or twice the box, but even when it is rare or nearly never used it is stil a strategy. A PC with 486 pprozcessor is still a PC, even when you won't see him in action often or not?

Maybe you are right (remember this moment ).

Yes, a 486 is still a PC, but would you put it in your business? Or would you prefer a Core-I7 with 16gb of ram, a series of ssd hard drives, as well as a 2TB hard drive, along with two 6970s in crossfire? Or you could go an amd 955, with a 5770 for value... Still want your 486? ;)

yeah i wouldn't choose it, but it is still a tactic and i am quite sure most basketball players would know the box and 1 even when they would struggle a bit in spacing while they most likely didn't practice it that often or not.

But it is still a game, which means we had more imbalanced rosters here then in real pro levels, which give the zone maybe a reason to exist. And the BB maybe searched for a strategy which they could present as a counterpart to the isolation offense, and ended up choosing the box and one, instead of introducing double team variantes of the old zones(or stay with the classical man to man).

Teams play box and one in high school gyms all over America. This is because often times at this level there are players who are much better than the rest of their team mates and having one defender dog the best player on the other team can A) tire him out more quickly, upset his shooting rhythm, and C) make the opposing team rely on other players.
Granted, I haven't lived in the USA in 10 years, but that's how it was for the 20 years before that.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Yes, they do play it in high school gyms, but I've never seen it used in professional basketball. I put the challenge out there for someone to find me an example.

Awesome response and what you say makes complete sense.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Thanks for putting it into perspective; it really makes sense that way.

Inside Isolation and Inside Box and One wasn't introduced in friendlies .... That's the biggest problem. At least these 2 tactics couldn't be able to use in competitive matches this season.
Why is this such a big problem? Why not think of this "sudden" introduction of new tactics on competitive level as the situation with the managers in Season 1? They didn't have a clue of what RNG (and all other) does. Was that a problem?

Second Team:
Jirkov
At the season 1 all teams just started. At season 15 most teams have built their team for long time according to known conditions inclunding game engine behaviour in different situation. So now suddenly their long-time job can change the value depenping on how strong new tactics are and how their teams biult in different condition fit this new tactics or not.
