Man oh man....Your team is weak.....you had to CT a TIE just to get a win and then you are bragging about it...hahahahahahahahahah What does the S in SG stand for....it stands for SHOOTING guard..
Hey!! What's that noise....I think I hear your mama calling you...I think it is your bed time...
Back on subject...I think a 18 JS 14JR would be best....just saying.....My 16 JS 16 JR sometimes misses mid-range jumpers...

Why didn't You write Your question about age after these posts? ;-)
In fact Your post is out of topic too ;-)
I added only few words to my post to comment these posts, because they aren't nice for me and my club. Almost all my post IS on topic because we talk about contribution of skills for guards. I wrote why this SG isn't ideal and I presented my arguments. It IS on topic. And my arguments weren't personal because (as I wrote above) I didn't know that we talk about real SG. Then YC started to laugh and talk about my club. Who cares my club? It IS out of topic...

I didn't read all posts but from my experience i can say that FG% is extremely dependent on many factors not just JS. Some of those are:

- tactics employed (how well the tactics suit your player)
- offensive flow (passing of teammmates)
- JR, DV and IS depending on the types of shots taken (closely related to tactics employed)
- opposing defender OD (self-explanatory)
- pace (slow pace results in better shot attempts and better FG%)
- ST and EXP late in the game

All in all JS is not the "end all be all" skill for shooting but is still important. I have owned a player with low JS and i can tell you low JS is a huge problem.

I guess it depends on the type of offense you play?

Ideal SG for inside offense would be something like:

Jump Shot: prodigious Jump Range: wondrous
Outside Def.: legendary Handling: wondrous
Driving: prodigious Passing: wondrous
Inside Shot: proficient Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable

obviously DR and PA is more important here. IS to go along with DR will draw a lot of fouls from SG without ID and SB. dont need that much JS and JR for him to thrive.

ideal SG for outside offense (RNG not motion):

Jump Shot: legendary Jump Range: stupendous
Outside Def.: legendary Handling: wondrous
Driving: wondrous Passing: sensational
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable

I just think each offense differs too much from another aside from the LP and LI so you cant just make a SG suitable for all offense. isolation offense, you might need a 300-400k SG.

That's part of the equation. However, there's another factor coming into play. Whenever a player has the ball, he has to decide whether it's better to shoot the ball now or pass it on (or drive to the basket). Better passing for a player means that passing up instead of taking a bad shot is going to happen more often, in turn increasing a players' Shooting% (while decreasing his shot attempts).
