But if you want to assume that the cap formula is indeed the salary formula, then you must explain why after sixteen seasons there are still no SFs with a salary above 200k in the game.

I would bet, that it's because of salary formula for other positions and speed of training. Because it's difficult to train high enough all the skills that have influence on SF salary due to height. And also probably there could be player that are SG's but have SF calculation over 200k. For example JS 20 JR 12 OD 20 ID 10 RE 10 SB 7 gets over 250k for SF but player would be SG.

Mogul?

And thanks for all the work, is really quite fun to play around with. And I like how there are no free skills now.

Thanks for the tip! It really went a bit quicker:) The only reason I argue is because I care and appreciate JosefKa's work and want to contribute to the research, no need to get knickers in a twist.
It still seems strange though that highest salary does not correlate with highest skill total. Why would they have to be different?
Because you think I'll be upping passing cause it's really cheap for a SF and I have 3 pops till he turns PG, but in reality you'll be capping out after one pop at hidden PG total.
Maybe http://www.buzzer-manager.com/en/estimation_salaire/ is not correct?

p.s. Why is JR more for C than PF?

Mind dropping a line or two about the data and a possible nonlinear approach? Since salary and some other things are measured in an exponential structure, it seems a bit odd that potential is such a linear thing.

Zwei Dinge sind unendlich, die Dummheit und das All...

this player of mine still falls slightly off your values. He is capped (no pops in JS with 7 trainings - plus 3 as secondary), but PU lower than cap. Lucky me! Possibly sublevels, although IS is surely low.

JS JR OD HA DR PA IS ID RB SB
8 4 4 7 1 1 16 15 15 4

8 superstar 24-26

PU(C)=PUmax= 23.32

Maybe I'm misinformed, but I thought I read somewhere that the skills we see, for example: prominent=10. You can take it as a 10 exact for calculation purposes, but I thought we only see the skill pops, and the skill is rounded for the public. Even though you have a 9.5 for example, you see a 10 on your screen. I'm just guessing here, but doesn't that somehow influence your calculations a little bit? Or are you just setting the threshhold on 10 instead of 9.5?
