That might just be the best motivation for the job there could be.

Sad thing only about 30 people bothered voting the NT election last season. Be great if more managers showed a interest enough to click and vote.

Woow, didnt have a dig at all mate, relax. Perhaps the word "cant get the skills of the u21 and potential u21s up on the site" in my sentence should have read " chooses not to update", as you answered my qu saying you would not. Def not stating you didnt know how :)

My apologies.

In terms of my team post in the wombat thread, two points.
1. The fact you didnt have anything to add tells a story.
2. I was referring to ppl commenting on trainees progress, not commenting on individual teams on the wombat fed. Im talking about commenting on potential u21 players early to ensure they are given best possible chance on the u21 team. That IS the role of the u21 manager. Currently I have a 21yr old that may just miss the u21 team this season. I feel that, had I been given top level advice on my 21yr old when I was in need, he may have been given better training for what the team needs, and therefore a higher chance of being selected. I dont think that can happen in a "supporter only" fed. And as i said earlier, i know there were numerous trainers begging me for advice on how to improve their chances, something only the u21 manager can speak for.

On the 1st point I will say this: I didn't have anything to say as you had been given great advice. I repeat...if I don't have anything of value to add I'm not going to add. Or are you suggesting that had I chimed in with 'I agree' and 'yes, yes, good advice' you would have thought more highly of me? I think not.

On the second point: Yes, that kind of advice IS the role of the U21 Manager...but I'm NOT the U21 NT manager. So what are you saying? that I should have commented on players even though it wasn't my place to?

:-)

How about we move on from the character attacks people (myself included) and focus on the core issues people have:

1. Offsite forum or new Federation?
2. Federation that has all NT or one that has only U21 NT?
3. What we think the roster might look like and the value of having a variety of player types?
4. Other?

No, but you are a candidate stating that you are not looking to get the offsite forum back to a high standard. And im a voter saying I want the skills of players revitalised and accessible for all aussie trainees to see, use, compare and learn using. And if you are elected, my 20yr old trainee may still not get the training advice needed and may also not get the best possible training. No personal attacks there, just expressing my concern for how new trainers are getting missed currently and that a problem exists :)

Actually buddy, that's probably the only point that will ever be mentionned in this forum and that I totally agree with. The manager should post the skills of the player so as to give a template to other managers.

Results of the '5 Federations POLL' are worth noting here:

Of the 16 people who have voted, 14 believe we need a new Federation! Surely this ends the debate about the revitalisation of the offsite forum!?

Importantly, 9 of those 14 believe it needs to contain both the U21 NT and the NT. So, I must concede that a new federation will have both if I am elected.

@whitewind...the player info you speak of will be available in the new federation/forum. Of course, the problem will be with those who have supporter and those who don't in terms of accessing it. However, given that 14 of 16 want a federation means that 14 of 16 know supporter will be a must in order to access it.

So how do you get more people other then the about 60 or 70 people with supporter involved with the NT sides?
This is the issue from me on the topic. To be effective internationally we need more people active in training players for the NT sides and I fail to see how this can be done if someone needs to be a supporter before they can get access to the federation and all the info there.
I am a fan of federations. Just think it is a mistake to make it the major tool for the NT sides.
