Hitting soft cap is better than capping too early ;) what the lowest cap youll get from a 4 or 5 STAR? I REMEMBER COSTELLO HAVING 4 and 5 stars and now his almost capped :( he had terrible starting skills btw with 3.4k salary.

Isn't it six of one or half a dozen of the other?

To me potential is my number one, two and three priority. The 5/4 will be better for seasons and will be an U21 possibility. But he could cap at around $50-60,000 salary. The 4/5 is at least a MVP and should make at least $100,000. If you are patient he will be much better in the end. However 19 year olds do suck.

Depends on what their potential ends up at of course, but by the time you can train a 4/5 to say a MVP cap, you could probably train 2 5/4s to a superstar cap. I'd take the two superstars over the one MVP personally.

(And yes, I'm aware that a 4 pot could be lower than superstar. but a 4 star ability can have hideous skills, so it balances out)

Especially if the 4/5 is 19 ;)

The 19 is horrible but I would take an 18 year old 4/5 over a 5/4 without a moment's thought. Trust me perennial allstar potential just isn't good enough unless you are planning a SF and even then you will wish he was a superstar. If the 4/5 you don't pick turns out to be an all time great with great secondaries while you get a perennial allstar with awful OD but great PA and JS then you will regret it forever.

Lets face it the draft is a crap shoot you can draft a 5/5 discover he has all atrocious secondaries and fouls out in 24 minutes every game, ie: you can draft Gab Wall.

Digging your gramma.

Damn, that's a bit harsh isn't it?
:P

There was no sarcasm, so it was a solid compliment. :)

You missed my point, Hax! Have another look! ;-)
