I would work on his OD, JS and Driving for one more season and then try to sell him and get another trainee. Why? Two reasons: First, he's too tall to be trained most effectively as a guard. At 6' 6" he trains more slowly in outside skills than a guard standing 6' 0", and since height has absolutely no effect on in-game performance it makes sense to get short guards. Second, he's not that good in secondary skills, i.e. the skills you're rarely (or never) going to train. His ID is good, but I prefer guards to have at least mediocre Rebounding and it's nice to have at least that level of IS as well. You won't be able to easily turn him into a SF, which would be more appropriate to his size, because his inside stats aren't very good. But with a couple more levels here and there he'd probably sell for enough to allow you to get someone better.

I'd say the same thing I said to the guy who posted his guard a few messages before you: continue training primarily OD and JS for a season or so and then try to sell him for a better trainee. Your guy's core stats are decent, but not spectacular for a 19-year-old, and his secondaries aren't as good as they could be. It depends on how patient you are, as getting a new guy to train does set you back some in terms of playable talent. If you'd rather have someone to ride right now, this guy isn't bad.

Sounds like a pretty good plan. Although I think it is going to take a long time, as Mr. Emerson has really weak guard skills at the moment.

If you are able to make him as balanced as you plan he will be a freak. I have a similar player on my roster and can ensure you it is well worht it :)

I love the height obviously but his secondaries are a bit weak. I was actually thinking about pushing his Jump Shot up to mediocre because he actually decent Jump Range. Any thoughts?

I would train his inside shot up to at least strong first then look at passing and handling because against good d he will just be a tall turnover machine!! then you can look at js and maybe driving.

I am not sure how high people think that a c/pf needs to have pa/ha at but atrocious is not good at all!

i have also one 22 years old who finished his training.
To be honest making 18s play 48mins at pg and loosing matches that you could win normally sucks but when they become 21 and show winner performances it's just priceless imo.
