After looking at it a bit more i can see why the Celts may have made the move. Perkins has played only 12 games this year so they have the record they have without him. The Kristic back who is ok offensivly but again not great on D.

Green could be a very nice piece for them down the road and the Clips pick (top ten protected till 2016) is another nice piece they can either trade or use to get younger.

This should help their bench depth as Daniels is hurt and they are struggling to find a guy to spell KG & Pierce. It also gets rid of Nates terrible contract.

Maybe they thought they couldn't win this year so the decided to get younger and save some money.

Offensively it does take a little away from OKC but with Durant and Westbrook leading the way, offense hasn't been the biggest problem most of the time this season so should be ok. Harden and Nate can score alright too.

I don't mind it for Boston. Jeff Green is a bit of a do it all sort of player and will probably be more helpful against Miami and Orlando than Perk really. Even if they let Dwight get 30 points every night, they can shut the rest of the team down and guards those outside players like Ryan Anderson and LeBron when Miami go small etc.

and okc finally have a Center. perkins is only 24 i think should be good enough for OKC beside perkins was going leave boston due to him not getting enough credit as the big 3+1 there...

He doesn't care about being the star. Celtics wouldn't be able to afford him in the off season cause he'll prolly end up around $8m in the FA.

Chatting on a forum in the Australia thread is hardly stalking.

He doesn't deserve attention anyway. He's a good defensive player but can't do much on the other end.

perfect fit for OKC since their outside scoring is beastly...

they didnt even have to give up much to get him either...

OKC are the 2nd worst 3pt shooting team in the NBA last time I checked....

They have a great perimeter scorer in Durant, Westbrook is still developing his outside game like most young point guards... but they are pretty awful from 3.

They have Dacquean Cook and now Nate who can knock down a 3 as well as James Harden but yeah, they're not exactly lights out or anything from 3 point range.
Westbrooks strength is his driving and mid range jumper.

Something that hasn't been mentioned is the Nazr Mohammed pickup which i like too as he's another good interior defender, rebounder and shotblocker and can put in a shot every now and then.
I did like Jeff Green but i think OKC did pretty well today (assuming Perkins stays healthy). Overnight OKC has gone from fairly weak inside defensively and rebounding wise to fairly strong in that department without really having to lose all that much.

outside scoring is not just about 3pt shots...

westbrook = mid range and drive
harden = 3pts and some drive
durant = everywhere.

maybe not outside scoring but their perimeter players are scoring beast so doesnt that qualify as outside scoring?
