- Away game
- You have been TIE-ing most games so far this season - i have not, so comparitively, you had better enthusiasm leading into the game.
- You had home court advantage.

Away wins are like gold when the competition is so close.
Also, looking at my schedule for the next few games, and because im still in the cup and whom im playing in the cup all meant that it was not neccassary for me to TIE against you.

makeadasense?

I must say, I didn't expect to get smacked by that much today! I wasn't expecting to win away from home, but I thought it would be a little bit closer!

Going to be another tight season by the looks of it, congrats to all the winners today.

i can see where you are coming from.

however my gameshape was ordinary this week which would give you a clear advantage anyway and maybe cancel out the home court advantage?? not quite sure if it is that big of an affect?

also with my questionable gameshap it would be silly of me to try win when we are outmatched to start off with, but then i guess it is a question of what you thought of my managerial skills and whether i would try win a game when my gameshape was ordinary and potentially waste enthusiasm.

Had my gameshape been good i would have probably tried to win that one. Had it marked as a possible W at the start of the season. my attention now turns to the Windies...

I guess that's the thing. Should one risk a an this week in order to increase their chances next week.

Last season I missed a few wins due to complaincency. On paper given ur lineup and game shape, yes I agree it should have been a simple win for me. But why risk if the gain is so small?

You guys & your 1 loss. Lol for me it is another game another close loss. 1 minute to go & 2 down, but again the same result lose. I could have been 4-1 not 1-4 & looking like heading back to 3. Still it is great fun playing all these great teams and even if I do get booted it was worth it. SGS tomorrow & its looking hard. Think I need a lucky 4 leaf leaf!!! :P

Looking pretty tight this season. Wish I'd delayed my push for the ABBL till this season. As it is, very glad to be where I am at this stage. No real definite stand outs on the Big 8 side. Will be interesting to see who's got the dosh in the bank come finals time to shatter dreams.

Spewin that one of my 18yo trainees got injured for a week on Saturday's game. Guess that's the worst possible thing that can happen when you're dedicated to training. Least it's only a week and they have been progressing at an exceptional rate so far! Enjoying seeing their improvement each week, noticing the difference with a superstar trainer.

Thanks!

I can't believe how many teams have taken the foot off the accelerator this season. Looks like we all stupidly made our runs together last season, only to be halted by the late buy in by Crockers. This season has been quite uncompetitive in comparison. At thsi rate i'm going to make playoffs when I had previously expected to be fighting for 5th.

It's one of the biggest problems with the game, imo - teams that just plod along and then buy up big before the playoffs. It ends up just being a contest to see who can have the most money at the end of the season.

i dont think its really that different when compared to a lower league.

For instance, you might be plodding along, ready to strike for the next season, then suddenly a big name drops into your division and you're stuck again for another season. The suddenly someone else makes their move and yadda yadda yadda ur still there 3 seasons later.

so its the same here. Its all still about long term tactics. The point of difference for this season is that we dont have an abbl'er that dropped into wreck carnage. but all it takes is a good run in the cup, a trainee to come good for the U21 and you suddenly jag an MVP'er in the draft whilst still finishing 2nd or something like that.

And in saying all that, have a look at abbl. Both WA is a dump and Black Label society are 2-4 so far this season. Pancakes got relegated last season.... effin Pancakes! like seriously! imagine having BLS or WIAD next season? imagine! hairy stuff.

so yer. its just the way the game ebbs and flows. some seasons will be like this. some seasons will be like last year. Some season willbe like last year, except 2 people do EXACTLY what crockers did, like... to the max... and one ends up with a win and another loses. or worse. 3 teams do it.

and not everyone will buy up big before the playoffs, because they might not feel like they are ready for ABBL this year. Then they ahve to make the decision to risk staying another year in Div II, when BLS drops down and eats us all.
