that's because you haven't played yourself for a while.
crap, you have lost 7 league games in 2 1/2 years, made the finals last season, and have a winning margin of 35 ppg this season. you're doing something right, and two shut-down guards and a very capable SF are only part of it.

After Tuesday, the list of Cup participants got a bit shorter:
NY Apple
at
ChiTown
: A DIII goes after possibly our best team. "Second city, my ass" if i may put words in Coach Winning!'s mouth.
Hayward Lumberjacks
at
Eugene
: Eugene catches a couple of breaks going up against the 15th ranked team in the US, playing at home and Hayward has a key injury. But Hayward is so good they may still win.
Redbull Lakers
at
Chicago Dire Wolves
: Inter Kac, win one for the Czarina!
Cyborgs
at
Mila Saints
: A DIII team, but ranked slightly higher nationally. Good luck to the Mad Scientist.
Corn Growers
at
Chicken Hawks
: A glance at records, national rankings, and overview of the squad makes me think mathew will win on the road and be advancing to the round of 16.
Bruins
at
Beware of Dogs
: Steve's squad is so deep, they will still do very well in our league without Kelsey. but against the #3 team in the country? on the road?

OH yes, he must win it for me. I messed up my enth the other day and had to make up for it with a loss :`(
This requires therapy and alcohol.

Speaking of which:
The end, at least for me, draws near.
Iron Dukes
at
ChiTown Bangers
The Dukes are DII. Gotta feel ChiTown moves on -- if she chooses.
Corn Growers
at
Crusty Crustaceans
Our farmers, all else being equal, take on DIV sea life and should advance.
Eugene
at
Dog River Riverdogs
I am playing a good buddy -- stuck my finger in the air, and the wind is blowing favorably in his direction.
Redbull
at
The King and I
Our resident knight-in-shining-armor gets to slay another dragon, this one a former denizen of DII.3. That dragon, however, may be fighting to avoid ending up in relegation. or maybe not; can't tell. Good luck to Sir Inter Kac
At this stage, league considerations play an important role -- good luck to one and all.
Four teams of the final 32 are DII.3 (12 are DII, 8 are NBBA, 2 are DIV)

How much i don't know scares me. And how much i think i know but really don't know is really terrifying.
Here i was thinking the Honey Badgers were all kinda gooey goodness, cute little fellows, all furry and stuff, and then Muppets too! which meant safe for kids and saturday morning TV. Wrong.
Now i find out Honey Badgers are really, in the words of a very informational video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r7wHMg5Yjg), crazy nastyass tough creatures that take on cobras and win -- they can be bit by honeybees and don't give a s**t -- in fact, they are going to survive any climate change because they have no predators and "ferocious defensive abilities".
crap, what a great name for a team -- next i will find out Muppet is the name of some locked up member of the Sinoloa Cartel with tatoos on his eyelids.
so i was wrong about ChiTown and Honey Badgers will be giving me nightmares. i can't wait to find out what else i don't have a clue about . . .

some good games last night:
Bruins at Chanute: Chanute hung tough all night (they were up by 3 with 2 minutes to go, and down by 1 with less than half a minute left). but the Bruins are the Bruins -- all they do is win.
Honey Badgers at Redbull: two games in one! Honey Badgers are shredding the throats of the Lakers in the first half. Czarina gives half time pep talk, and the Honey Badgers play like kittens the second half, getting outscored 43 - 19. the result is now Redbull is in fourth, Honey Badgers fifth.
Corn Growers at Ron Swanson: down much of the game, the Farmers make a furious comeback and go up by 3 with a bit under 2 to play. the game winning bucket is scored with 1 second on the clock, the final shot is blocked. tough loss -- or great win -- but certainly a great game.
Eugene at Window Lickers: game is tied at 51, but the refs inexplicably turn on the home team and cause two key players to foul out. Eugene, which had 20 fouls in the first half against the Corn Growers, kept thinking the whistles were directed at them --
and i still think we are headed for a Bruins - ChiTown finals.
