Well Ranga hypothetically suggested an extreme case in where he would still give said person the 3 votes so I hypothetically suggested an extreme of my own. Not saying anyone would do that, just exploring possibilities.

In any case I'm satisfied with our discussion so we can move on

my game i used it against you was i thought i could sneak the win doing it with patient and sg at centre knowing full well it would make him take full votes but i never thought of mvp when i did it. So if most people to do as a tactic i guess its okay but someone would start to notice if they use it for mvps and would mostly stop giving them the full votes even if they score heaps. I know i would

I think WB made one important point and I actually made the same decision about a player just today when I was doing the East votes. There was a player on the losing team who had by far the high score in the game but his shooting was something like 12/36 so even though he had 30 PTS and the next best was around 20 I gave him no votes at all because it was all of his misses that probably cost his team the game. I am really a sucker for guys who hit at a high percentage and often give guys who pop up and hit a few shots at a high percentage votes.

I only have one problem with this. And that's the manipulation of votes.

If I so chose, following your guidelines; I could play all of my scrubs and have my best player play at a position I know the opposing team is weak in defensively with a patient offense and get 3 votes each time?

Given that we are playing tomorrow night I would dearly love you to do that, Leeroy; would give me a fighting chance! :P (actuaslly, you'd have to sell them all for that)

I think we need to have some kind of gentleman's agreeement that if it appears that a team is setting lineups solely to get the 3 votes (ie Patient with 1 star and scrubs) then we need to be willing to ignore the star's massive point scoring if we feel it's in the spirit of the game to.

@ Rad Ranga, I put my hand up a few weeks ago and you beat me to the punch listing MVP votes before I had time to do them. When I do them I go through them slowly so if you want me to do them I need to know in advance. It's just because I'd get pissed off if I do all the work to be too slow to post them. And as I've said before, more than happy to do them.

LOL It's all good, Rad Ranga. At leat you stepped up when none of us did.

I'm happy to do tomorrow's games if you want. HOWEVER, despite what I just wrote about lengthier writeups, tomorrow's will be short and sweet as I'm pissin' it up this weekend. I won't get to them until Saturday morning...er...afternoon!

LMAO

Mate don't take it to heart. If you have a look at the couple of seasons before you joined the PL you'll see Naker appealed a fair few of my votes

His "Veterans" needed their votes lol

I agree the shooting percentage is the most important thing here. If a player on the losing team scored a crapload of points, and hit them at a high percentage, then I see no reason why they can't get 3 votes (unless their team got grossly blown out by like 40 points).

If they shot at a low percentage, there's a strong case for not giving them a vote at all.
