Coming that close against him, I would consider that a win. Look at your PD and record then look at the Big 8. If you were there you would be 2nd.

Mid-way through the second, we were tied. I went to dinner, came back and I was down 17! Ugh... that late-second-quarter killed me.
It's hard for me to be patient, but reality is I'm still a season or two away from getting to where I want to be (but I want to be there *now*!).

Big week coming up. And you have a HUGE game the following game as well! Potentially, you can still finish second...
Stuff's tight!

NKRK followed by Sapporo. At least you can be sure I wont CT you if I have any dream of taking the double. But Sapporo is way ahead of me in reality. You however are in my target. You are in bad luck as maybe 4/5 starters can be in proficient GS. This may be the game that says who has to take on Sapporo first round and lose and who takes Otaku and probably loses too, but by less.

My guards get better every week but always more is wanted, more passing more jump range more jump shot more defence. It never is at an end. But in two seasons they will have the quality to challenge the big teams and hopefully a good balance of skills as well to be cost effective.

Damn, it nearly happened yet again.
There were some DAMN confusing moves by my coach... and by the game. My starting center fouls out (he has an estimated salary-worth of around 27 thousand). Your starting C (admittedly 5 thou' more) doesn't get a single foul. Kurogane is good, but he's not that much better than Kopsas.
Down by 3, the *coach* takes out my best player with 3 minutes to go, and holds him out until less than a minute to go (he has 1 foul, and is scheduled to play the whole game).
But some how, up by 1 with less than 20 seconds to go. THEN... my SG (Perez) who has had a shyte game, fouls on a shot with 8 seconds to play. Kyoto scores twice, bang. Down 1, with 8 seconds to go.
Who do we go to for the final shot? Perez (the aforementioned SG who has had a shyte game - and only shot 6-18). He hits a buzzer-beater. We win. By a point.

Ouch man, you probably deserved a win given how the last quarter played out (I still maintain the performance of my center was off)... but I'll take it!

I lose by one point to my closest rival and my best trainee is injured. That hurts. Well done on the great win. Probably my most exciting game ever.

Kurogane is good, if you look at how much I paid you can guess that he has a couple of little secrets, and a couple of little flaws.

Interesting...

In the Big 8, it'll come down to the last two games of the season to sort out the mess! Fu's definitely going to be #1. But the fight for 2/3'll come down to the wire. Basically, whoever wins their match-up tonight is 95% likely to be #2. Likewise, there's a battle to make 4th. Baikinman holds it at the moment on a massive PD over 楽しい, and with both of them likely facing a win and a loss out of their last 2 games. If 楽しい can push Fu to the brink (and off it?), then they'll take the final slot in the playoffs.
Unfortunately at the lower end of Big 8 pool, ETU's gone bot, dhods is headed that way and 小野 洋子's status is somewhat uncertain...

Great 8. Not so tight, SF'll finish up top, with Shikoku following. However, there's a bit of a battle to see who they'll play in the first round. At the moment my Ramen Kings are in 3rd, a game ahead of Kyoto... but the Shogun see two relatively easy games to finish the season, and NKRK see a TB team tonight, followed by hosting the Shikoku powerhouse the following game. Odds are Kyoto overcomes the point differential there.
Bottom end, Chigusa appears to have fallen off the face of the planet, but all others are present and accounted for!

Should be an interesting end to the season...

Nice summary. It will indeed be very close and perhaps I will be facing the oblivion in the first round. We shall see, I need to win, you need to lose and I need to catch up around 40 points of PD. It is a big call but we will try.

Broke my damn leg. Got hit by another bicycle (I ride to work every day), took a nasty spill - and now I'm the somewhat sheepish owner of a hairline fracture of my femur. Not a huge fan of Japanese hospitals, but here I am!
Sigh... G'luck in the playoffs (I'm on my iPhone... that too is 'not fun', if convenient!)!
