I'm confused by the question. The OP even admits it depends on the team but still asks anyway. Much to the dismay of many online gamers, there is no "God-mode, 1 button tactic" you just press and log out. Tactics are very situational and entirely dependent on team ratings. I mean just read their descriptions. They either improve or decrease a particular rating. 3-2 zone won't help you if even with the bonus to outside defense, your outside defense is still worse than your opponent's outside scoring. And in fact it might even jeopardize you if the decrease it gives you in inside defense is enough to drop you below your opponent's inside scoring. Then they'll really have a field day against you.

My suggestion to the OP is to scout the opponent's ratings. Does he excel at any one particular aspect? Are your ratings already good enough to neutralize that aspect? Is there a tactic that would bump you up to be able to neutralize it? If not, then man-to-man is your best bet.

did you seen my matches this season? ... I played with different defense tactics, but usually it was 1-3-1, m2m, FCP ... and I answered on question which tactic is better 3-2 or 1-3-1 and no which tactic is the best of all

Since PSB needs lots of passing, (from my experience, maybe i am mistaken), that makes offensive flow really important. So if the opponent have poor OF, then 3-2 is really good choice, because with strong OD, not only you stop the guards but also you are able to stop the inside pass.

In general i dont like neutral tactics when the 2 teams are equal or my team is weaker. My 2 cents...

It is my understanding and I could be wrong, that push the ball was better if you didnt have good passing because you are moving the ball up the court as fast as possible and taking the 1st best shot possible. But i could be wrong also. At the beginning of the season I was playing look inside tactics and when i changed to PSB now I have less TO and went from losing games to winning.

Well having to share the ball to all by definition needs passing isnt?

Inside tactics is an other painful story...
