I was talking to Superfly. But if any of you can knock him off that works for me too.

Anyway the only 2 in the Big 8 with a chance of getting to the finals is me and STO.

OOOhhhhh Just make sure you don't omit your SG from your line up in your next match up together then & it could be me and you dancing at the ball this time around!

The Great 8 really is wide open.

Griffins to stave off an increasingly frustrated Yellow snow to 2nd place (and we all know what my 2nd place predictions are like!)

I think we'll also be disappointed with our TV Money - no-one seems to have added any big hitters.

Superfly,

you know we (or at least I) want to add punch to our rosters.

But for me, i am stalling long enough to find/make a really good Japanese guard. Two of them came back to japan this season. If i were a bit more ready monetarily, i could have snagged one.

But you bought your guard for the same reason I want to...

...to start him in league games. Even having a japanese player on the list for MVP HAS to boost your merchansizing.

So before i get lost in the spend all my money each week trying to compete phase of the game, im looking to compete (when the time comes) with Japanese guards.

So basically it means at least perinneal allstars or better to be able to stay on the court with the top 3 in the Great 8.

And of course, winning a playoff game with an all Japanese back court. I know there some money in that.

If you think someone should boost spending, you should point to Small Town. You know he's got it. He can afford a Merimi type player easier than I can.

All of that said, its clear the Great 8 is shaking down to 3 groups (this season at least)

Sharman

Okayama/Kitakyushu

Kuzu/Kanazawa/Swoosh/HL

and the guy who wont win a Great 8 game this season (sorry Fire Country).

...just remember, its a Loooooooooong season. the wrong cup opponent on the wrong week, the wrong injury, the right buy, all things that can change the game up between now and the playoffs.

I believe a great sportcaster once said...

"THAT'S why you play the game."

Somebody let me a hold a no. 2 pencil cause they testin' me.

Okita & co will be up for grabs over the next week or so. I can send with minutes this week no problem. Send me a message if you are serious about anyone.

Its time to have some fun and my next JBBL title WILL be won from the Big 8.

Wait - can you hear that?? OPPORTUNITY knocking everyone.... free BB3 tickets up for grabs... who will become the 2nd team to win the JBBL??

If this doesnt force you to step up and spend big - nothing will!! Here is to a historical season.

It's ok - we can having a tanking competition! (i'm not doing it for the best draft pick I assure you!)

I will list the rest of my guys tonight just keeping my Ochi and I'll do my best to single position train him for 3 more seasons and see how he is looking.

If people are upset with my decision then I'm sorry - there is a challenge in what I am attempting and as Wolph knows from his experience in division 2, it won't be a massive cash year for me once I am down there.

The balance of play across BB allows for all strategies and up til now I haven't encouraged you to come and join me at my level. This is highlighted by our pathetic TV income. Had I sold immediately after the final we would have surely lost another 20k a week.

So, please allow me to have some fun and I look forward to seeing who emerges from the big pool of contenders to take this seasons crown. I will only be disappointed (and so should you) if the winner manages to do so on $450k-$500k of salaries. The additional riches of being no1 and HCA should encourage someone to step up to a $800k pay-roll as this is easily sustainable.

Sorry, some bigger things had come up with family and work. My father-in-law passed right around that time.

I am having trouble getting motivated for the game, but I was happy to log on and see that I had beaten Sharman somehow. Good start to the season for me! :)

Hey mate,
Sorry to hear your news too.
Look forward to comparing bank balances when you are back up to speed with the latest ongoings.
By the way YC - I didn't say I was throwing the cup :)

I've got a bit over 10 mil in the bank right now, we'll see if I can sell off some players/get some new trainees. Not sure yet. Need to get the team in order first.

Where are you at $$$-wise?
