I think you should NEVER train a player with salary less than 3500!! They arent worth being trained. Look for 18 year old bigs with at least a salary of 3500 and a potential of 4 or higher (potential doesnt affect training speed. Just how good he can be at the end).
You should find such guys easily on the Tl for around 30000
Dont bother training you 2 guys!!

Ps.
Just noticed that all you players are young. Do you plan on training them all?
Dont do this focus on only 1 type of player to train!
You can train guards, bigs or sfs. But you cant train them all at the same time.
Looking at your rooster, it seems you already have a few guards good enough to be trained.
Train 3 players single position or 6 players double position and sell all the other young guys and buy older players instead of them.
You can get very good old players for not much money.
F.e. I have a player i bought when he was 18 he had a salary of 5500 at this time. I got him for1200000
And a few weaks ago i got a 25 years old guy for only 670000 with a salary of 17000 you see the difference? If you dont plan to train them, they should be old because they are cheaper

Sou you're saying that an all-time great player with 3000 should just not be trained because he hasn't enough skills for the u21?

Yes i think he shouldnt be trained, because it will take forever until he will close up to a guy with for example a 7 potential.
Its much better to sell such a player, because many will overrate his potential and you will get enough money to buy a guy with 7 potential and 4500+ salary easily. And always remember, that he is a manager who asked how he should train a 1600 salary guy. He surely isnt on a high enough level to waste his money on an all time great.
And for what do you need a capped all time great? No one has enough money to pay his salary.

If he wants to train for the NT, a potential 7 isn't good enough, so you need higher potential players, like those mvp's of 3k, that if trained until 25 or 26 can reach the NT.

AAnd you think a new player who is in the fifth league will train a player to be in the NT?
How should he pay him? he could only keep him until he is 21/22 years.
And even if he could, it isnt the best for his team. Its much more worse it to train guys with lower potential if you are in the lower leagues.
You dont need an expensive lvl 6/7 coach and your trainees will be cheaper.

What's wrong with being a farm team? If he trains him he wouldn't be in Div.5 forever. Also, with 21 and 22 his salary is perfectly payable because he started very weak. If he has let's say 2 allstar trainees and one with higher potential but weeker... those 2 trainees can take him up the divisons and keep that player to be trained until he is good enough.

Nothing is wrong with being a farm team, it just should make sense...
But the 3000 salary atg guy will take nearly a whole season to be as strong as a 4500 salary all star guy and you have to pay nearly equaly high amounts of money for them.
The allstar player will cap at around 60000 salary where he will be if single position trained with a good trainer at the age of 23
that means, the atg guy will be as strong as the allstar when he is 24!!
He will never make it to a nt (except in barain or smth like this)
So you need to spend an extra season of training for an equally strong player...
You can benefit much more if you train another guy and sell him when he capped!
You will have one more season to train a better trainee and one season of training is worth around 300000!!
So what sense will it make to the atg? Just because he has high potential?
I am sure you would never train a 3000 salary guy...so why do you give the tip to do this?

Well, i don't know how to copy and paste players from my roster, if someone could tell me i'd appreciate it. But yeah, you have noticed that my team is very young. I purposely made them young, i needed better trainees. I'm building my team for the future, and i want to see what i could do with these players
As far as trainers well, i'm eventually going to have a better one than my level 4 trainer. I recently bought most of the 18 and 19 year old players that you see on my roster for the purpose of training. Its going to be fun watching these players develop. Right now, now that i'm finished buying players for a while, i'm going back to building my arena a lot more, i have two home games this week and its going to be interesting for me to see how much i make from ticked prices.
