I donated what I could to your recovery, people of Japan. I'm too far away to put on a pair of gloves and clean the flood. All I can say is, if you are online it means you're alive and safe, for that, I say thank you. Happy you're ok.

Japan are prepared to fight against any earthquake but there is no way to stand against those Tsunami waves at the moment..
the only thing to be done is to run away before the waves reach the land..


Even the 2 km long 10 meter high tsunami wall they built to protect Miyako did little to stop those waves. Nature truly is powerful.

Indeed. One of my parents' relatives live in that area and we still cannot contact them...

Tsunami is nothing compared to normal waves. Some people have the idea that small tsunami is nothing and just like a normal wave but it really isn't. The whole mechanism or tsunami and wave is completely different and the damage it can give is really significant.

This site is the satellite images of before & after. It really shows how much damage there's been due to earthquake and tsunami.

It is horrifying to watch the various clips from this disaster. Just saw some photographs showing different areas before and after, that really made the impact sink in:

Can´t really think of any other country more prepared to handle this kind of thing than Japan, and still the destruction is unbelievable.
I have never experienced an earthquake in my life, nor any other kind of disaster even remotely similar to this, so i can´t even begin to understand what the people of Japan are experiencing in this very moment. Still my heart goes out too all the people affected by this. I pray for your safety and well being.
