I've never been able to log in
used team name, alias name
access key and everthing I could think of

You need the username you sign in with, and the access key.

I would just try downloading it again. There is an updated version from time to time and the old versions just don't work. Download it. Save it in a different folder from last time with a different name. Be very careful about the login name and access key you enter. Then I feel confident it will work.
