It would be nicer if you got an e-mail from your friends on your birthday.

Last year I was horribly sick on my birthday and not a single person in the entire world even mentioned my birthday to me. If BB had been the only thing to wish me a happy birthday I think it would have made me even more sad.

Post your birthday and all we will send you an email xDDDDD.

come on keep serious, yes it is an suggestion which didn't help the game but i could see it as a nice gesture which maybe didn't need that much work to get implemented.
But i don't know how many people actually write their correct birthday on signup, and for the dude who didn't make it it could be just annoying then a nice gesture.

My PF(13393849) went all day without getting an anniversary card for the commemoration of his joining the team. Also he only played a few minutes in my scrimmage that night. He used to be smiling and had a full head of hair, I'd say he's taking it really hard...

I don't think it would be for the kind gesture at all, it would a reason for BB to contact managers, particularly those that aren't active to remind them of the game; it would be an outreach tool veiled as a kind gesture. And because I don't want any more emails, I wouldn't support this suggestion.

people who aren't active, don't notice their BB-Mails.

sorry, totally missed that it was to be a bb-mail as opposed to an email

Some games do this all the time and really promote themselves. I have played a CCG called Altiel and every week they send you an email to your email account (not bbmail) with a newsletter full of useful stuff and other things that are just interesting. A weekly newsletter sent to everyone should cost just about nothing to make and send but would surely add to the connectiveness of the game.

Possible Content
News items.
Public announcements.
Game engine tweaks.
Surveys.
Competitions.
NT/U21 news.
BBB news.
NBA news.
Olympic/World Championships news.
Tips from the Pros.
Interviews with well known players.
Reminders at certain times of the season - set your draft list, change arena seating prices, set a standard lineup etc.
Happy birthday greeting!

The possibilities are endless and seeing as it would cost almost nothing why not do it?

But for the majority of users this is just SPAM!

Sure there would be some users that would really like it but most users probably don't want their e-mail accounts clogged with further e-mails they won't read (I know I wouldn't)

Besides, most of the important stuff you mentioned above are noticed straight away when you log into BB via the news page.

and that should be still the place to search it, totally agree with you even with the unquoted area.

The aim of these emails is not for us who log in every day and have their figers on the pulse but for the casual players who only log in once or twice a week to keep their interest up or if they haven't logged in for a while to remind them. These things always have a two click unsubscribe option.
