overall i some quite good experience with let coach decide, for training minutes it is often subotional but in the PL i am playing quite well with a blank lineup and let coach decide(even when they are short stint with weird lineup, i had the feeling that i am a bit stronger then with a real lineup)
Laim did use it often too, cause of the training handicap you shouldn't use it every game but with assigning an real lineup you avoid those weird lineups, and some games are more important then training in my eyes.
Edit: also the weird minutes could sometimes fix, weird minutes through injuries fouls or long stints without substitution in previous games for training porpose.
