I have no idea how he got so many votes either, but don't take it personally. In my opinion, everyone that voted that actually knows what they're doing, voted for Greerzilla. So all the serious votes went to him as opposed to you. Where Ocho got all his votes is beyond me, but don't get all worked up about it. Was Ocho's name first in the dropdown menu when choosing who you wanted to be coach? Maybe people just did it randomly and since Ocho was first, he got a bunch of cheap votes.

Interesting and some what understandable statement.

My big concern is the lack of turnout in general. Since season 13 the voting just continues to drop, which is a bad sign for our NT program.

Ocho got second place and his entire speech was Vote Ocho 2012. He did not participate in the debate at all and he almost won the election. I don't see the problem in wondering why he almost won the election.

I think that is a bigger problem than the the actual turnout. Sure, it's a problem that the turnout is so low, but for someone who didn't even participate almost won the election could have been a big problem.

i guess everyones forgetting that a lot of the people werent happy with the job greerzilla had done the past season so it shouldnt be as shocking, theres a reason his approval rating is still in the 50s, and 15 or 16 people (dont knw the exact #) that did vote for ocho cant all be idiots now IMO, so its good that greerzila won he was more involved and deserved it more that ochocinco but the reason he lost votes was his fault and ocho was the 2nd best manager that signed so why not go for him?

and why do you assume that ocho was the 2nd best manager that signed? I am pretty sure that zmtomako has more history and more success with his team, and have actually put some time into the election. Ocho did nothing, so I would like to know: Why do you think he was 2nd best manager?

I for one didn't know when the deadline was so I didn't vote, it didn't even cross my mind. I would imagine there were others here like that as well.

If there had been a thread started that had stated that date and time of the NT vote in the header, it would have been a reminder to everyone in the entire Canadian forum.

the deadline was on the "NT elections" link... vote before midnight of Feb 14.
in hindsight, a reminder may have been useful

but cmon guys, there was practically no question or debate going on, so i personally assumed everyone was settled with all the information and platform that the candidates wanted to run

if you were decided, why didn't you cast a vote early?
if you weren't decided, why didn't you ask a question to solve your dilemma?

its a 2 way street, yes no1 reminded the careless ones of the deadline, but as a voter and if you cared about the NT, you would've looked for the deadline and/or casted a vote and/or asked questions to generate a discussion to help you come to a conclusion as to who to vote for

the results of this election shows that less than 5% of canadians know who the right candidate to vote for was
less than 10% of canadians bothered to vote and/or find out when the deadline was
greerzilla, lots for work for you to do

I guess I could have opened a thread. My bad. At least the right candidate won!

Where would the 'National Elections' link be exactly? I don't see it over to the left so I'm guessing it's not that easy to find.

The deadline date isn't even posted under the 'Election Rules' link which I did look at when I first saw it.

My only point is it wasn't publicized at all so I'm guessing several people missed the deadline because of that.

You have to go to the Canada National Team Page, click on the election link, and then vote. So I see where your problem comes from. I think at the very least we should add a direct link to the main page during elections, so this isn't a problem. I am pretty sure that happened the season that Mogul won the election for U21 and it was the biggest turnout Canada ever had I am pretty sure.
