a win over a team with twice the payroll at this round of the cup (neutral court, playoff enthusiasm). easily the biggest upset this season and prob one to argue for all time.

Boom's ill-fated attempt to win his road game vs. Silverbacks jinxed Boomshakalakas. That, and the schedule luck that gave me a free tank on Tuesday.

That, and not caring that much about extending my cup run ;p

I have Goacona who is up for sale for $1 who I could've started at SF, but instead threw a 5k scrub in there. Granted, I still figured I could be strong enough for a win, I knew an upset was possible.

Honestly, balancing trying to win top seed in the NBBA and possible plans of winning the cup is way too tough...and I figured I have more control over my destiny with the NBBA, especialy after WW tanked his league game on Tues.

Anyways, good luck to the rest of you. And GG, it was a fun rematch from the olden days :)

P.S. Notis still owns you :P

Yeah, one look at the schedule said "go for it". And my team is really defensively built around the best LI stopper 500k can buy. Hopefully I'll manage 4 wins when it counts so I can keep the roster together...

it's a nice win, but extra effort + facing a $5k SF for over half the game...

anyway, shout out to my coach for a great game. a 2pt game became a 12 point deficit when my he decided it was a good idea to have my PF play PG for 7 straight minutes in the 3rd quarter. nice going coach! that's why you make the big $! (probably would have lost regardless, but still...)

yeah, i missed the 5k SF, thought i saw all familiar faces. boom looks locked into the top seed overall, so was suprised to see a lack of focus on the cup.

SM and the Silverbacks

1) What's your thoughts on being back in the USA Cup Final?

It’s a great feeling to be back, I expect this will be an exciting final.

2) How far did you believe your team could go from the start?

I always like to think my team has the potential to be successful, but had I seen my schedule beforehand, I certainly wouldn’t have expected to get this far. At this point, I’m happy regardless of the final’s outcome.

3) What are your thoughts on your finals opponent?

The Wiggles are an impressive team, perhaps the best team in the league this season. I’m hoping we can keep it close.

4) What would winning a 3rd USA cup title mean to you?

It would be a great accomplishment. We’re still in a building phase, so to have this kind of success at this stage in my team’s development would mean a lot.

5) Who or whom have been your "star" player(s) in this cup run?

I think I’d have to say Fan Runkang. In my last three games, against NBBA opponents, he has gone 8-13, 6-10, and 9-13, respectively. He’s also played in all of our cup games. We certainly wouldn’t be here without him.

6) Who was your toughest match-up this season on the road to the finals?

This is tough. It would have to be either BMG or KDB, both were extremely difficult opponents I didn’t expect to get past.

7) If you win the USA cup, what are your goals with your team next?

We’ll move onto B3, hopefully have success there, and try to get the 4th next season.

1) What's your thoughts on being here in the USA Cup Final?

It makes me purr like a kitten.

2) How far did you believe your team could go from the start?

Honestly, I didn't think I would make it across the field without stepping on the landmine of a D.5 team, as that level has an unparalleled element of surprise. A D.5 team could actually have a decent roster and I wouldn't even know until after my scrub team was assaulted by them. I just assume each D.5 team is a bot or a 10-year-old crayon eater, so a clever, impassioned D.5 manager could Trojan Horse my team. Once I avoided that danger I understood that I would contend for the cup.

3) What are your thoughts on your finals opponent?

This is my first real battle against Silverback gorillas. Perhaps if I play dead they'll back away and not maim me. Their centers are much cheaper than mine but they could make SB's offense better than mine with their good jump shooting in a motion offense. He's had mostly the same core group of players for several seasons, and he's a perennial championship contender with them, a v. v. impressive feat.

4) What would winning a USA cup title mean to you?

Hopefully it would convince my friend IRL, The Dunkers and Shooters, that I'm a good manager, and in turn convince him to stop doing the opposite of what I say.

5) Who or whom have been your "star" player(s) in this cup run?

6) Who was your toughest match-up this season on the road to the finals?

And special mention to Hunterkirualeoeoroeriaioia, a D.2 team, who CT'd me with his best lineup in my second cup game this season, which made for a close one until the end.

7) If you win the USA cup, what are your goals with your team next?

The only way to become the best team in the game is to become the richest team in the game, so I feel like I'm going backwards right now. I don't know when, or if I ever will try to go back to my original plan of generating buckets of money via training and selling unique players each season. Short term success may be too tempting -- it's fun to always be in contention for a championship.

Wow, what an amazing final. A buzzer beater by Gonzales, a former NT big man. I think if Silverbacks had more ID then the result may have been different.

Check the Suggestions they are important
