#15 Ambitious and Misunderstood vs. #24 Fighting Kelts- These NBBA foes both find themselves in the round of 8 for the first time. Ambitious and Misunderstood walked past a conceding Window Lickers in the round of 16, while the Kelts were taken to the brink by ATL the Hawks before eeking out an 8 point win. Not much drama expected here, as Kelts just put one of their best players up for sale, and will be a bit overmatched.

Prediction: Ambitious and Misunderstood's bid for a first cup title stays alive


#7 Liberty & Power vs. #10 AirBallers- Another pair of NBBA opponents matchup in the quarters. L&P finds themselves in uncharted waters after a dramatic comeback win over Rocket Science put them in the round of 8 for the first time in franchise history. On the other side, Airballers is no stranger to these late rounds, with two trips to the round of 8, and a silver medal in season 17. Will Airballers crumble in their first true test in the cup? Does L&P have anything left after such an improbable win in the round of 16?

Prediciton: Too much AJ. Jfarb's quest for that elusive gold medal continues.


#3 King Drive Ballers vs. #42 Old Yet Sexy Hippies- Another first timer to the Elite eight, Old Yet Sexy Hippies will be welcomed by the team that has more USA cup titles than any other active manager. After knocking off league mate Jr. Jazz All Stars, Fewmit's squad will have to pull out all the stops to have a shot at KDB. Brian will have to consider his B3 run as well, which could turn the tide in OYSH's favor.

Prediction: Everyone loves an underdog. Except brian, who really has no use for them. KDB rolls.


#35 10inch Verticals vs. #9 Funky Town Fire- After having stalled in the round of 16 twice before, 10inch Verticals broke through with a 93-81 win over Technical Fouls to advance to the Elite Eight for their first time. Greeting them will be Funky Town Fire making their 2nd trip here. Funky Town Fire won a silver medal in season 15, and reached the semis in 16. They seem to be getting stronger as the cup goes on and will be a tough, but not impossible opponent for 10inch Verticals.

Prediction: Funky Town Fire wins and makes it an all-NBBA Final Four.

Damn, the second time in 3 weeks that my top center gets injured of a big cup game in the 1st 5 mins! I'll be lucky to scrape through this one!

We have reached the Final Four! For this round, since you have been introduced to all our remaining teams in the last two rounds, I decided to catch up with semi-finalist jfarb, and get some of his thoughts going into next Thursdays showdown.

Yeppers: What do you think of Czobo, manager of Ambitious and Misunderstood, and your opponent in the semi-final round?

Jfarb: Good queston yeppers. Czobo was my roommate in college. I believe he is currently doing basic training in Georgia right now, and soon he will be in officers training. While I honor his service, I'm scared at the thought of him being in command of anything whatsoever. He's a decent QB in flag football...thats the only good thing I can think to say about him.


Yeppers: Your squad and King Drive Ballers seem to be on a crash course to meet in the finals. What are your thoughts on possibly facing the defending champ?

Jfarb: The King what? Never heard of em. Are they good? Sounds like a wannabe AirBallers team.


Yeppers: You currently have 2 silvers and no gold medals in the cup. How do you plan to avoid second place this time around?

Jfarb: Avoid? I plan to celebrate. Last season I said on the offsite, "Mark my words, someday I will be the only NBBA team with 3 silvers and no golds." I am poised to reach this ambitious goal.


Yeppers: Any words for your remaining opponents?

Jfarb: Uhh...your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries

I can only get close if Nemesio and Lorenz foul out early in 2nd half.... not going to happen...If only i had effort advantage.. :(
