In my opinion, its not worth investing in the draft at all if you are at the top of your league, which you seem to be in D5 because so many people get to choose before you, and you probably wont get anything from the draft anyway. If you are tanking in a higher division, it is worth it.

I don't agree. In Div 5. I picked my best player in 3 drafts when I picked last.
Got 2- 7 Pot my first draft. (Picking 2 and 18)
Got 1- 6 Pot my second draft (Picking 11)
Got 1- 8 Pot my third draft (Picking 16)

So many bots in Div 5 it doesn't matter where you pick. You will get your top few selections.

Ya, I see your point, but I would rather save my money and buy someone on the market.

Hey turtle!

Yeah it might be on the high side, but I'm not even going to list them ever. One says 550,000 estimated (of 5). The other 2 don't have any comparisons. I'll send you the stats.

When I did my team value calculations I used around 600K each (or twice the value of my best 33 year old). However, if I were to list them, I'd sell for 750K each.

The last thing you should do in DV is 'buy an all-around stud muffin'. We see low division teams do this all the time and it rarely works. For example, you'd be much better off taking $100,000 in weekly salary and giving it to 5 guys at $20,000 salary each then one guy at $80,000 and 4 guys at $5,000. Balance is always more important than having 1 so-called stud.

My #1 piece of advice would for you to be patient. That $$$ isn't going anywhere so you don't have to spend it all today but if you truly think you have a chance to promote, I would first upgrade your arenas and then I would upgrade your team. If there's a monster in your league that you won't be able to beat on the road in the playoffs then wait for the off-season to upgrade your roster.

Congratulations . . . but was it because I was wrong about how good they were or did those teams overpay? I vaguely remember that they were all over trained in rebounding and not much else.

You were definitely wrong about how good they were. If anything I could have gotten more for them.

Actually, he wasn't necessarily wrong just because people overpaid. Their secondaries were not good by any definition, and their only good primary was rebounding (which was excellent, but overkill at low levels and at high levels their other skills would be too low for them to play competitive minutes and not get destroyed). I'd say you were very lucky to get what you did. Sorry if you don't want to hear that, but that's the truth.

Not that young (20-21); compared to other players their age they were certainly far from elite. Not trying to be overly harsh or critical, but I'm just saying you shouldn't be giving G Khan crap because he did have a valid point.

People didn't overpay tho lol 600k for a 20 year old trainee with 16 rebounding and 10+ in ID and IS. Seems like a fair price to me. My other 2 trainees were 21. The one with 17 rebounding was sold for 500k and the other one with 13 rebounding was sold for 200k. Both of those were fair prices as well. The market is constantly changing so what might have been overpaying a week ago might be the norm at that point in time. It's all about supply and demand. And fyi i gave him zero crap, I was just making conversation.
