Oh i thought you were purely talking about Driving versus passing.

OK so if you have a player with both low driving and low passing but high JS (and assume Jump Range), it means two things

a) He cannot create he is own shot.
b) He cannot find another player in good position to pass to.

In theory, this would create a very 1-dimensional type of player who simply shoots the ball whenever he gets it.

However, I think in practice, it doesn't really work like this. Maybe?! Im not entirely sure. He might be a useful player for perhaps, RnG offense or maybe motion, but I think you would find he would shoot a poor percentage.
In Buzzerbeater I believe you will find that if a player has both low driving and low passing (even a big man), he will take a lot of contested shots, which will mean a lot more misses.

I've had a player with 5 drive and he played perfectly fine. He shot 44% from the field and shot 41% from three. He averaged 17.9 points and 5.8 assists and 1.5 TO. He played average as a guard in look inside . He had only 9 passing too.

His skills were 12/10/9/6/5/9----5/5/5/3

to me, the key question is when did your PG take his shot? the way i envision (your) Patient offense operating is he begins a series with a pass, teammates pass (effectively, not losing the ball), eventually getting the ball back to the PG who then realizes his shot has the best chance of succeeding, and shoots -- and this takes 20 - 24 seconds.

this is different than if the PG comes down looking immediately for the shot.

a third scenario, i suppose, is what we see with LeBron at PG at times in game 2: he has the ball out front, kills the clock, and with 8 seconds looks for his shot.

can the rest of your squad pass well?

so does it mean Passing will be considered first before Driving?

and also, does high Passing means a player will look to Pass more?

and lastly, does the passer do not consider the driving and passing of his teammates?

Yes I guess you would call him catch and shoot, but its more 'JaVale' Catch and Shoot than 'Kobe' catch n shoot.

Therefore I would predict that 50% of the time he would drive and 50% of the time he would pass.

Or, our universe splits into two universes. In one he passes the ball, in other he drives. Unless he's Kobe, then he doens't pass :)

if your right sir, then:

1. to create a pass first players, you will need to have a high level of passing and a mediocre level of driving.
2. it is a big help for the scorers to have some passing.
