I think they should make it similar to the NT Enthusiasm system or a playoff system, with playoff options, but centered around 7 or 8 long term Enthusiasm instead of 5.

So the team would have two different enthusiasm ? One for B3 and one for the rest ?

Yes

Don't like this idea, complicated, just make it simple, all have the same ent and that's it.

This is where we hold them!

I'm not for several enthusiasm system for one team, it's complex and not so realistic.

B3 games' minutes don't count in players' weekly minutes, for training and game shape. So already there are two systems in place for game shape. That's also complex and not so realistic. B3 games seem to take place somewhere out of time (much like NT games) so a different system for enthusiasm doesn't seem so outlandish at all..

I agree with both ideas, having a separate enthusiasm system for B3, or just plan setting a fixed enthusiasm.

Downside with the first one is obviously complexity, but if the BBs can pull it off, I think it may be a good solution. As for unrealism argument, I agree with user who stated that those matches are already excluded from weekly minutes, so I wouldn't be bothered.

Now let's say the implementation of the separate enth is not technically an issue. Which solution would you support? Personally, I'm leaning towards separate enth, think it may add more strategy to the competition.

There's still the problem with teams playing against teams of different strength though. Being put against two old winners that have a very weak team in the last two rounds of the first stage would give an unfair advantage over teams that make it there while facing better opponents.
I think the way it is now with different strength of opponents is random enough. Let's at least have the same ent for all games at least.
If we don't we will just see another discussion about unfair ent in the future.

Good point.

How about moving the final of B3 to before the playoffs? It looks like the timing is the problem, too. I guess if the final of the B3 would be before playoffs most teams would have higher or similar enthusiasm

Then it will depends a lot from the length of the cup, small nations will have lower ent because of the cup ending too soon...

You have luck of the draw in every competition in this game. You can't make it perfectly even for everybody, just evening the odds, if you get what I'm saying. If you go with fixed Enth you still have easier and harder schedules.

Sure you can. If we're looking at the best of the best, give them all "B3" teams with 12 lucky fans, fixed enthusiasm, no injuries and fixed GS, and it's as equal as can be. And it would suck. ;)

I think separate enthusiasm is best; enthusiasm management is one of the tools of the trade and so managing that wisely in B3 is useful, but having that be adversely affected by the discrepancy between different nations' competition levels is counterproductive. Otherwise a fixed 5 (or 7, 10, whatever) for all matches is a decent fallback.
