Is it just me, or is the $1.5 mil just nowhere near enough given the current player prices? I can't even buy half a good player to try to be competitive.

I agree. Last time I was up, 1 mill felt like a massive joke. I was so far behind the 8 ball, I couldn't even challenge for 7th position. It took approx 2/3 of the season before I had enough cash to buy up.

I guess these days, it would be more about being financially stable, and knowing how much cash is needed before promoting to any higher league.

I can't justify spending 1,5 million on some 100tsp 35yo pg at the moment... I guess I might drop right back down!

Williams is on the move.

A bid has been made and at this stage he is on the way to Soumi.

Last chance to keep him in Australia

You probably would've gotten more if you started the bidding at $1 this time of the season ;)

LOL I got burnt doing that once.

I hope our Aussie National coach contacts the new owner and suggests that he/she invests in a career extension trainer.

Worked out okay as I paid 2 mill for him as a 19 yo, won a few trophies and then tripled my initial investment before he started to drop skills and lose money.

I wouldnt have sold him if I handnt gifted Bryce the ABBL championship last season and been playing B3.

Now what to do with the rest of the team?

I cant sell up completely as Id get slugged with the hoarding/wealth tax

Well that all comes down to what your plan is for this season and potentially the future.

If you are willing to train stamina and free throws this season, I have a very potential NT player that is in much need of this, and it wont hurt to get a couple of other pops.

Whilst Melmeth can certainly be a strong albeit expensive asset for my club as well, my primary motivation for signing him was to ensure he could finally play NT games again. The previous owner either had no idea how game shape works in this game, or was deliberately keeping his GS down because they wanted to sabotage our NT for some stupid reason.

So the desire to help both club and country convinced me to make the purchase without any hesitation or regret. I also did a Whitebeard this season by going for an all Australian line-up, and actually made a net profit in the off-season thanks to my two foreigners fetching a higher price than I expected...

Your starting five are all NT worthy.
Gonna be tough for WA to repeat.
