Maybe we can have something a bit more modern like Silverlight.

Try reading that again. I explained it twice. I said play by play both times.

You can integrate the play by play with the boxscore data on Turnovers and you will still not know who stole the ball from whom. The only way to know this is opening the viewer and checking the team detail page.

There is no reason to withhold this information.

I think people underestimate how important the viewer is. Even those who never use the chat, often log in and keep an eye on how the game is going. This is why you have a peak of people online at the time games are being played. You take that away and the whole game will not be the same.

I think there is no problem at all untill browsers stop to support flash player.

If adobe stops supporting flash player it means they will no longer update it. So everything sticks the same. Technology the same, the same bugs (if any). It is even possible to make new viewer using not supported technology. No problem at all.

It does not mean it wont work. It will, just like microsoft stopped windows xp support. Windows xp still works. Just technology never advances and you get compatibility issues way further in the future than the innitial stop of support.

The thing is, the viewer already does not work on mobiles unless you use puffin which is bad in its own right. If they are doing the app they may as well work on a new viewer that have also mobile compatibility.

I may be wrong but my understanding is that the viewer just displays a feed of a game that has already been simulated. That wouldn't change, so I believe it's just a matter of translating that feed with a visual tool (a new viewer).

Yeah, i agree it is only and issue of translating. And it isnt very complex s no need to worry. I am sure they can solve this with like javascript in a short time, or htlm 5.
