So why make it even more difficult then it is for the moment? 4 and 5 star potential is way better then 1, 2 or 3, but saying that only 5 star potential (= top 20% of potential rating) is all star or better doesn't make sense at all. Fact is that you can't ever be sure, because you don't know for sure what the specs of your draftees were after you drafted them.

So there is a logical (even) distribution in the potential/star rating, but not in the spreading of the number of stars?

Nevermind, I missed Mark's post about how the potential was distributed. Which is pretty logical.

Besides that, i was wondering how he could have known that he actually drafted a 4 or 5 star potential player since the draft results only show the order of the picks and how many favored them. But then again he could also be the first one to pick, meaning it doesn't matter.

Initial thought was, how does one draft result prove that a 5 star actually gives a MVP/ATG? How was he so sure that the player was one of his 5 star or 4 star picks?

All in all, my mistake.

I would actually favour a normal distribution over your flat distribution.

And the normal distribution being.... (??) The more ideas we have about how the distribution is made, the easier it will become to check the facts after the draft is over and determine which distribution is used by BB. So if you have an idea, please share it!
