This is only my own subjective observation of BB, not my point of view on rivalry. Lower league position, less attendance.

It would affect attendance via the fan survey but not necessarily for the Rivalry game.

my fans hate my rival, so they don't come to the game and are satisfied when they read about their loss in the newspaper :)

I honestly don't think that the computer program that decides how many fans you have at any given game take into consideration which players are on the court. Also, I think the rivalry figures more into how many fans will come to your next game in that it is one factor in the equation of the fan survey. So if you kick the crap out of your rival, your fans will be very happy and more will show up to your next game. If you get drilled by your rival, your next game's attendance will most likely be down. So, your next game should hopefully have a better attendance.

i hear your point but a TV game is supposed to help attendance as well i just won a TV game by 4 points and that did not help with my fans and i have 5 stars for this season and 4 1/2 stars for my last game and last TV game.

You think because i beat my rival by 35 tonight i should have more fans in my next home game then why would my TV game take away attendance.

It does appear to be more about the level of opponent (0-4 team visiting instead of a 2-0 team), and maybe the other team had more season ticket holders too.

what other team. I don't understand. Season tickets for who. If it is about the level of opponent then what does a rival game do. Based on my fan survey i have 4 stars in everything except how i played last year (1.5) and my cup for this year (2.5) which i strange considering i have won both my cup games.

then when do i see the fan results from my TV game and rival game. Does that only affect merchandise then. If thats the case i expect to see a few thousand more in my merchandising after this weeks updates.

The other team he is referring to is the team you play against. So when you played against a strong d.1 argentinain team in your PL you had a high attendance. When you played in the cup you had a decent attendance because it was the cup. When you played against St. Petersburg in your PL you had 1000 less fans than against the Argentinian team because St. Pete's is not a good team (no offense to St. Pete's). In your last game you played against a team that is 0-5 in a regular season game. Why would anyone pay money to go see that shellacking?

People are trying to help you understand, yet you have a very adversarial reaction to every subsequent post.

Here is how I think the attendance calculations work. There is a fromula which takes several factors into consideration. One is the strength of your opponent. Another is the latest result of your fan survey, which itself is a combination of factors of various weights. A third is the number of season ticket holders you have. A fourth is the level of your PR guy. Finally the price of your tickets is considered. All of these factors and perhaps a small random multiplier are tossed together in some proportion and your attendance is set. I have no idea what the relative importance of the factors is. I have my opinions but am not going to give them here because I have absolutely no proof for them. As GM-BrianJames has said, he thinks that strength of opposition plays a noticeable part. I agree. I also think that cup games and playoff games have higher attendance figures than regular league games.

Let us know if you see increased merchandising revenue.
Good luck.

Your fan survey is part of it, but if I remember correctly so is the opponent including their their level in the standings and how many season ticket holders they have.

all i am doing is trying to understand. i am answering all replies based on what i believe and trying to get other people input as well. I have not called any body any names or said there information was not good.

Your telling me that you believe the cup has more importance then regular season games. So you would rather watch your favorite team play there bench against sub par competition then the starters play against your rival. I'm sorry but that makes no sense to me at all. When i lived in the states i went to every game i could go to when the Nets were a good team to watch them play. Especially against the Knicks. If the Knicks are poor like they were the last few years i would rather see that game then watch them play Milwaukee who is a decent team. Lets say they had a cup in America i would not be as interested in watching there second string play a team in the USBL. Thats what i'm saying.

As for you remark about my 2 private league games. In my opinion 1 of the reason i got more fans versus the Crew that ST. Petersburg is because i played the after word. Until my last game my attendance was for the most part going up. I also figured for winning games you have more fans who want to come see you play. Call me strange but when teams don't lose or are at the top of their league they usually get more fans then less. If my last game was not my rival i would have understood but with it being my rival; right after a TV game it is a bit strange to me.
