I think that MR and TR should not be used to determine why you win or lose a game. They are average reflections of the skills involved in each game. They should be taken only as a basic performance evaluation. Why should this then not be taken as a determiner of a win or a loss? For example, let's say two teams are absolutely equal for an entire game except for a two minute stretch to start the 3rd quarter, where team A makes 4 straight three pointers. Team A outscores team B by 12 points in those two minutes. The final is a 12 point victory for team A. The TR and MR will still be basically equal.

I think that the overall box score and watching the game are the two best ways to tell why you wion or lose a game. Often times free throws, foul trouble, offensive rebounds, and/or turnovers are the factors in a win or loss, especially between teams of similar quality.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I agree, especially in a first division with the teams at a similar level

sometimes a bad outiside defender PF can give the oposite side some points that you can't see in the ratings ,but watching games you can have an idea of the outside shooting of an Pf and some details like that

but I must agree that the ratings should be better, for exemple:sometimes the team with 1 or 2 levels worst in rebound has more rebounds in the game

sorry if I made some english mistakes

Your English was fine. You have to remember that sometimes Kendrick Perkins outrebounds Dwight Howard.

I dont look at the MRs as gospel, but except for one sublevel of outside scoring both examples above you got beat in every rating. I did not watch the games, just looked at the box scores, but it seemed odd you are shocked you lost them both.

I read the entire post. Why would you say that? Just fishing to insult someone?

Did you watch his games? Should everyone before responding?

Sorry for the subject of the topic but really every season it's harder to understand every single match. Today I've lost this match (10719609), the problem is not the defeat, the real problem was the 1 vs 1 of the PF. My PF has 10 times more the salary of his PF and he sucks like a kid playing minibaskek against Larry Bird, how it is possible? After that it's really IMPOSSIBLE to understand how improve your team if MR are not realiables and the TRs are simply some lines written. Check this match: (10719600), MR for me, TR for him, don't you think something is wrong? In the match against Drunkers (10719593) we played both run&gun and man to man defense, I suppose (cause this is written in the rules too) that play, G and SF should be the focus of the match in fact I've attacked mostly with them, from the other hand I've got almost the 50% of the 107 Drunkers's points coming from centers and PFs and once again, my PF has 100k/week of salary and my center is on the market just now if you wanna see his skills.
So at the end I'm not blaming here the matches lost but I would like to see a system that can be supported by a logical sense because just now it's impossible for me to understand where I'm weak, where I can improve and where I'm ok.
Every match today is a jump in a black hole and it seems to me that is the random the main factor to win or lose a match.
Do you think that MRs and TRs are serious? I really hope BBs will change asap this way to read the matches at the moment is unrealiable 100%.

Ned was not wining about losing those games. He was focusing on specific aspects and their understanding.
Sorry if I got your message wrong.

Yes Heathcoat, I've created this discussion only to know if you can clearly understand your matches, I posted my games only to give you some examples but my opinion is that is not easy to understand why you win or you lose the matches, it means that it is also hard to understand how to improve your team.

In addiction, the gap between lvl 10 and 5 is much more important that the gap between lvl 15 and 20 and for me is necessary to have a report at the end of the game useful. At the moment sometime is better to not check the stats, mr and tr cause they are not helping you.

No worries. It just seemed like I was getting railed for interjecting my opinion on at least a portion of the original concern.

I know for me that I learn a lot more about my team, its weaknesses and strengths, and where I might be able to improve by watching the actual sim. I also like to adhere to the totally unoriginal plan that if I am not sure what to improve, then improve the defense :)
