acarl,

I ran LI exclusively and went 19-0. Then I decided to sell some guys and change things up. I'm 11-4 in league games since then.

I agree, as you promote, especially into II, you'll need to vary your sets.

ah, ok, now I get it: for example, if I want to train one on one more effectively, I'd switch my training from PG/SG to forwards (since they train a bit faster in one on one), but play my trainees in those positions rather than the regular forwards, is that what you mean?

Thankfully, being in a small BB country (Nippon), I'm already in the top league, and many of the teams in that league run the same thing over and over again. I think I'm going to try and make my team more versatile.

I think that's a fine idea. I always try to do what everyone else isn't, and the only time it backfired was my dreaded Princeton experiment.

yeah.

I figure a well balanced team is the way to go. It might hold me back at times (not having one area that I'm waaaay stronger at), but overall I'll probably be able to deal with opponents better. I'm training PG/SGs right now, and just got done with some passing training. I like how the offensive flow ratings have improved, and how the team seems to be able to capitalize on chances more.
