Round 1
April 7th, 2025
Suuret Muinaiset vs. Buckner Bandits: 112 - 72
(133879671)
Thank you for the first ever score post in HGL!
I would like to make a request to all HGL managers: please also add a score of your match to your season box score post (which was my initial idea after I decided every team needs one dedicated post for it, but I guess I haven't remembered to shared it on forums yet).
If you use a format in your box score post that do not include both team names, please mark your team's score first.Example: Suuret Muinaiset won their first match 112-72.
In his box score post (where all box score links are located) he uses this kind of format that doesn't include his team name:
RS Round 1: Monday, April 7th, 2025: vs Buckner Bandits (133879671)So in this case it would be necessary that he would add his score first, and opponent's score second.
After his update, box score post would look like this:
RS Round 1: Monday, April 7th, 2025: vs Buckner Bandits
(133879671) 112-72
Please note that in this example I was referring to formatting of his box score post, where all his Season 1 match links are provided.
As for separate match reports (that cthulhu from Suuret Muinaiset and I already sent a while ago to this thread), it would be preferable to follow his and my example in terms of formatting of each single box score post, so that we'd retain some standard and most importantly because it helps to find information quicker. If we all use whatever formatting in our posts, it does make finding anything later on more arduous project.
In my Season 1 box score post, update after Round 1 looks like this:
(326590.44).
If you can't remember where your box score post was located on this thread, you can find it from here (link after your team name):
(326590.4)I'm still in a process of considering whether or not it would be sufficient for each manager to add their scores only to their own box score post of Season 1, but for now everyone can keep on sending box score posts to this HGL Scores-thread (
not to the other Official HGL Thread). It might be a safer way, as it is theoretically possible (/more likely of those two options) that someone would be able to accidentally delete (or edit unintentionally in a wrong way) their Season 1 box score post.
Having said that, I still request everyone to add a score of matches to their own Season 1 box score post.
Please remember, it's not absolutely necessary for you to send box score link of your match, if you see that your opponent has sent it already. Of course, even if your opponent has sent box score link to this thread, it is necessary that you have confirmed it's actually a correct game by clicking the provided match link.
Remember, checking out the link in above case is done for two reasons:
First, some managers have organized 2 matches per same HGL match day due to wrong initial scheduling of the matches, so it is important to provide a link with a same game number that is found from official schedule (played in
correct/approved time).
Second, if some manager writes the match number by hand (and not copy-paste it) to the box score post, making a mistake with one number would create a faulty link (linking to completely wrong match).
There is nothing wrong for both participants to send box score posts though, as I guess only downside would be crowding of the forum.
