The point is that it has not to be so easy to ballance minutes, because if it would depend on time how long he is there, there would be no bariers for training anymore. So score of team or player himself seems to me like well unknow dependent.

I think that if player score 4 points per 1st quarter, it doesnt seems that he is using his potential if he play on the position for desired focus, so I would like to see replace him right away and put there only if the other needs a break to take a breath.
If you dont need that option, noone force you to use it.

It could work even on the other way, If you pick there a player which has for that match unexpectetly good score, coach would substitute him for the one, better one which is waiting on the bench. Why? To use players effectively, if you play league and cup, it could be great to have an option to mix them like that.

I would like to see us coaches have more influence in the outcome of a match

just wanted to throw this out there (i have not read every single post so sorry if it has already been said)

you do realise that your not the coach right? your the manager.

the coach is the same for every team and it is the coach that makes the tactical changes within the match not you the manager.

as the manager you give the coach a general tactic that you want your team to play , the coach then changes this on the court when he see's its not working.

personally i think the current tactic system is fine (i would like a few more tactics though lol)

remember your playing a management game not a coaching sim.

Since when do managers mix up in line up decisions and tactical set up before the game? And how come the manager has to decide what is practiced? Do you see what I mean? I think BB is a great simulation mixing managing and coaching responsibilities together, so therefore your statement "this is just a manager simulation" is not valid.

I also never suggested to make in-game decisions. I suggested to create a tool which would allow us to have the game engine modify certain tactical set ups in certain situations BEFORE THE GAME. I won't repeat now everything, so you would have to read through some posts to understand what I asked for.

and what about something like you can choose the difference of responsability every single player should take...for example now you can choose only the tactics, R&G,LI,motion, low post and others so with a perimetral tactics P,G and SF will take more shots and with an inside tactic it is the contrary at least if tou have good level of passing skill...now i would like to decide that my guard must have the higher involvment in the offense, my playmaker have to take only a few shots and so on...not only setting the tactics and hope my guard shoot more than my playmaker or the small forward or vice versa...did i explain this well? Do you think is a possible implementation?i think it is very usefull and reduce a little the random of the game

your player will take the best shots they could get, i think this implementation should stay and not be sacrified to a implementation wwhere a solid shooters pass the Ball if he is open to a guy who try to finish against three defenders.

ok but i prefer that my sensational jump shot take a shot in front of 3 defender rather than my average one take an open shot...do you prefer a Bryant's forced shot or a kevin ollie open...i go with kobe don't t you?

This game would suck bad, if only one player would shoot the whole game. Wouldnt it? I would take the open guy every day of the week.

but he didn't take all shots, right? Your good shooters will get more shooting oppurtunitys, but here they have a understanding what is the best for your team which si maybe not everytime the case in Rl.

So your Bryant would take the shot if it better, then the shots you normally get with your team offense.

I would naturally go for Ollie and an open shot. That's basketball!

It would also be cool if we could decide when timeouts would be taken and what tactical changes should be effected during the timeout. I could imagine some tool that allows us to set up before a game "If -0-10 run-, then switch -offensive system- to -run and gun- and defensive system to -man to man-". As mentioned before I already saw such a set up menu in a soccer simulation game.

With that tool weaker teams could sometimes surprise better teams by outplaying their tactics, though in the long term it didn't really change much. Weak teams still lost more often than good teams. It just gave the manager more tactical choices and made the better team managers to reflect well on their team set up before each game.
