Yes, it's nice to have a few hundred thousand extra. As for the widely used "I don't compete, I only build" strategy in Utopia, time will tell. Whether this is the best financial approach depends on how much harder it will be to promote eventually as seasons go by
Maybe I was lucky with the league im in, but I believe that it is possible to; build a stadium, train trainees and be competitive all at the same time.
Lucky enough to have a 20 2 win loss record for this season whilst recording a 90 to 100K weekly profit for most of the season and also receiving $ 1 309 002 in gate receipts for this season.
I possibly could have promoted last season only I made the mistake of throwing a couple of league games to keep a cup run going longer than it should have and couldnt stoop to buying cheap geriatrics for the finals
That said Im not all that happy with all my remaining trainees and might take a step back (getting one or more new trainees) regardless of whether I promote or not
