wow, what a thread... didn't read every single word in it, but get a good grip on the frustrations here.
In a way, I understand the frustrations. I as well see my level 5 trainer, which I got when the new system started, ask more and more wage each week, and every time I look for a replacement who asks less wage I see high bids. WAY to high. So I still have my original level 5.
This brings a few changes compared to before.
First off all, it seems many users overestimate the value of the staff, especially the trainers. PR folks and doctors are prety cheap to get unless you want specialities, so I don't think anyone is complainting about those.
If I read the rules correctly however, the specialities only bring a SMALL extra to the staffmember, a minimal effect can be expected. In no way an effect where one would want to pay a few 100k extra for i.m.h.o.
So each time I look for a new trainer, I start smiling that so many are "throwing away" so much money, for virtually nothing extra compared to a much much cheaper staffmemeber.
Because I refuse to do this, I feel I gain an advantage over the ones who think they need to spend these immense amounts.
Please remember that you HAVE a choice. You do NOT HAVE to buy a certain level of anything, there are OPTIONS.

If those level5 trainer prices will not drop, I will buy a level 4 for sure.
I also noticed that players are sold very cheap. I'm talking about solid players. I have these 2 centers who are solid players, players for which about 1.5 seasons ago one would have to pay 2M to get them. Now the compare sticks around 800k. I think that due to the high staffmoney topteams keep less money to buy decent players from, which makes the playersvalue go down. Training good players does not bring you the money you deserve to get for them.
The fact their compare went down from 1M and 1M1, while the text said they probably where better then the others compared to, to 800k after they popped, and the text now says they are most likely equal to the others sold proves this devaluation of better trained players. Do not think this was a 1 times happening with 1 of the guys. It happened with both, exactly in the same way.
So I choose not to spend my money on staff, but I buy players that where trained well by the ones spending a lot of money on their trainer, and I wouldn't have to pay very much money for them.
See how beautifull this system is?
So instead of complaining about the system, try to figure out how to best use the system. If you have to hurt yourself to buy something, don't buy it. Other managers, who are in the same position as you, your rivals so to speak, probably have to hurt themselves too, if they do, you gain advantage over them.
If you think it is worth it, go for it...
Just look at it, see what happens, try to imagine what impact it would have on your team, on your competition, on your opponents,... then decide what is probably best for you, and make a choice.
I might be wrong, and in the end it might be proven the higher level trainers are worth their money. But for now I think many are trowing away too much money to get things they THINK they HAVE to have.
This is a game.
Make decisions,
learn from your mistakes,
but do not try to change something because you stubornly try to get something you THINK you need.
They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.
