Maybe his team had so much overwhelming OD that it cut off your passing and driving lanes, and forces your team to take low percentage shots. I don't know. I have, however, seen a few results like this where a 3-2 (or even a 1-3-1 defense beats LI). Crazy things happen, I guess.

You both shot dismally from three (you went 0-9 and he went 2-16), you took and made less FTs, had less rebounds, and 3 more turnovers. After this, I can't tell you what went wrong.

Your starting C and PF were +6 and +7. Your backups, both under $4k, were -7 and -8. It's always a shame to pay so much money to starters only to have backups making almost nothing going out and losing the game for you.

No depth on your team. When your backups were in he crushed you. You are probably the better team but he had more depth and your starters couldn't overcome that.

off course it must be the depth on my Team. for sure - thats why one of the best Rebounders in this game can´t dominate the offensive board against an 1-3-1 Zone.

sorry but thats not an Explanation for me. also i´d have a very deep Team if not my backups would have been injured for a combined 8 weeks this season.

The 1-3-1 zone does lower the rebounding and inside D on his team but even with that, his rebounding was only a third of a level lower than your own rebounding and his ID was only one level lower than your IS. That means you were slightly better than him in those spots but his OD was sooooo high that it probably cut off a lot of easy shots for your big guys especially if they don't have very good handling. If you were to have even decent backups who can contribute more than 1 block and 4 rebounds in 30ish minutes, then you would have obviously won... So yes it is because you have no depth at the big man spots.

I did win but after overtime and by 1 point, I don't understand how the difference can be so thin when I had hca and a team far better than his team, he just played normal while I tied but come on overtime and +1?

My best guess is that it is related to you shooting 14-33 from the free throw line - if you had shot a respectable percentage you almost certainly would have won in regulation.

Usually guards are chucking threes in face of great OD pressure from opponents, as they can't pass to bigs or drive inside. But this wasn't the case here: 9 threes against 1-3-1 and 16 threes against M2M. His starting PG chucked 5 threes and had one assisst, for god's sake...other than bad backups and HCA, I really can't understand this match. Away team should crash the boards, but it didn't - actually home team grabbed more off. rebounds.

The only reasonable explanation would be enthusiasm difference in favour of home team, but we don't know if there was one.

Maybe that is the case but considering he never made a 3 and along eight the fact that his team only had 18 assists on 36 made baskets, I still believe it is because the guards couldn't find the big guys inside (18 assists is not that many... It isn't awful but it seems lower than it should be), it appears that a lot of the shots taken were not from good ball movement despite not all of them being from beyond the arc. along with this there is still the fact that his bigs had no depth so the backups hurt him. To me it is understandable why he lost.

HCA and lack of depth, that might be the biggest reasons. But I sitll can't understand how come his centers didn't prevail in offensive rebounds. 1-3-1 is the worst in that department right after FCP.
