Ok well college basketball started this week and there are a lot of college students that play BB

That would explain the boost in US users, but not in the rest of the world. Coco's explanation of delayed reaction works, too, but the surge seems too sudden for that. I'm assuming that there's been an ad campaign *somewhere*, I just don't know where.

It's basketball season, NBA and college basketball just started.

Then why didn't we see the jump start 2-3 weeks ago?

Actually, the real NBA season doesn't begin until the playoffs roll around.

Yes, but it was not Simmons that coined that phrase....but one of his readers.

I'm from America and I'm staying with the game. Sure, I wish I could see the result of my actions in a quicker fashion, but I enjoy the longevity of BB and stay with it for months. Even if I'm one of the final 1000 from America, I'll stay with the game. In the web games, I prefer something that is based on simulation rather than fantasy as in NFL's fantasy football. As for games that represent American sports in a reality and complex fashion, they're few of these. I don't expect to see any more. I'm happy with this simulation.

everyone knows that basketball season don't start till christmas, lmao!!. anyway, i think one thing that would help is a better referal system. like a link to our facebook friends instead of requireing me to know a persons email. most of my friends dont want to give out email addresses as they fear spam/virus, but if i could put a link on my facebook page or or pull up my friends list from there on here and invite say 5 aday. I personaly have 155 facebook friends most of whom love sports/ basketball and would realy like this game,,,,,,

I have spoken with 4 folks who have quit Buzzerbeater in the past six months; the issues are pretty similar.

First, the draft system sucks....yes it has been changed but still you can end up with nothing in the draft. This is totally ridiculous, one guy who quit had put $40K per week to improve his chances yet with the new system it still did not help. I tend to agree this is one of the weak features of the game....the Draft.

The second common issue is the training system, single position vs dual position training, and the ability or inability as described by one coach to accurately instruct the number minutes a player is player. I tend to agree with this idea as well, it is silly to have to train 3 guys exactly 48 minutes to get optimum training.

The third issue is that training elite C/PF is not cost effective, coupled that with the fact that the game engine now IMO seems to prefer a RNG type lineup with PG/SG and SF emphasis I see the point. One guy told me that he was essentially ruined as he now had to sell his C/PF prospects at a virtual loss. (After a season of training he could not get what he paid for his prospects.)

The bottom line is these guys were not having fun anymore thus they quit.

Just a little food for thought for this thread in case the Mods are watching......

The Americans i see mostly have less time devoted. I think there is much more demand to do other things here. There is always all these expectations. Europeans seem to enjoy somewhat more time off.

Too many Americans are the instant generation that want it all now, there are no codes to get extra whatever, no cheats, this game requires patience and thought....
