I'm worth the extra post. lol

The team has beem playing well of late. After racking up a 59-7 record in the last 3 years, were aiming for our second undefeated season in Div. III. The boys will be better prepared for a possible promotion this time out. Although I know which 3 teams will be excited to see me gone. III.16 Great 8 might be the tightest conference in all Div. III. I'm been fortunate to stay a step up on Dunville Mudcats, Hooisers09 & Vancouver Giants.

Perfection came to an end in League III.7 - all shrowded in mystery.
The previously 20-0 Shufflers failed to show up in their late season showdown with the 17-3 Quebec Pugs,
literally !
Having played all of 36 previous in season minutes Pierre-Alexandre Houle was the only Shuffler to arrive at Kooky Arena.
When it was called off in a 25-0 walkover for a lack of the needed bodies that were not fiellded by the losing team, there was no ownership to answer questions, including the hurtful nature for the Pugs training, manager mc5huffl35 was nowhere to be found.
Only Houle, who when queried about what went down merely responded with a terse
"Parler a la main" !
Perhaps the Shufflers were still smarting from a home playoff ouster by those same Pugs a season ago and perhaps yet still, another match up to come.

One and Dones

1. West End Mudbugs(33219)
After starting the season off sizzling at 12-0, West End Mudbugs fizzled into the playoffs 4-6 and now sit 16-6 in third place of their conference in III.3. A string of injuries really hurt this team and it seems the manager has low expectations for the playoffs as wholesale changes are being made to the roster. Still atop the Power Rankings for rookie div III teams, but one minor slipup and they could quickly lose they title as best rookie div III team.

2. RUMpage(33290)
RUMpage has stayed steady and consistent all season long and a couple of new acquisitions has this team poised to make noise in the playoffs. Sitting third in their conference, but 4th in the league RUMpage is in an unfortunate position on the road against a team that delivered two of the teams losses this season. A playoff win, or just a better performance than the West End Mudbugs could see this team snatch the number 1 spot as late as possible.

3. Yukon Golddiggers(33521)
Sitting Second in their conference Yukon Golddiggers have a great shot at making the semifinals. 15-7 was not enough to gain one of the top two positions this season, but if they advance and RUMpage and West End Mudbugs fail to, this team could very well catapault themselves into 1st.

4. SlipperyWhenWet(25081)
Finishing the season 6-3 has helped this team into third position with a 13-9 record. Pushing grizzlybears off the list and getting their name known SlipperyWhenWet is happy with what they have accomplished so far. Going any further will be difficult, but possible. This is BuzzerBeater...

5. expo2012(33736)
A 10-12 season puts this team into 4th place in their first season in div III. Although they are below 500. they played their way into a playoff spot and a chance to continue their season further. Advancing to the semifinals will be difficult, but you never know.

Pursuit of Perfection

Teams still alive for the hunt heading into the playoffs:
Team Dragon(24900)
Botwood Raptors(24905)
Montreal Visoreds(24919)
Iqaluit Test Icicles(25029)
Spider Wasp(24897)
Webfoots(25133)
Murfs Blue Devils(33497)

7 teams that managed to go a full regular season 22-0, but we all know that the real season begins now. It is Playoff time! A time for reckoning and for teams to prove their strength, grit, determination, passion... and who can rent the 300k monsters. I kid. I went around Canada and even the United States asking people about who they thought would be able to finish the playoffs. Truly Perfect.

GM-beanerz,
"Get that mic outta my face man! Why do you think you can just interview anyone? To be completely honest I do not care. If they finished the season 22-0, they should finish the playoffs 26-0. Why are you even asking?"

RiP,
"The real question is not who, but whom."

Greerzilla,
"I think they are all great! As long as they re-elect me next season..."

damian13ster,
"Whichever team is going to promote and give me the least amount of problems."

Mod-jfarb,
"I do not know anything aboot Canadian division III, its easier than USA's though, eh?"

Seems like no one has any real insight. Interesting.

haha I am so glad that I just found this thread! I just started a new team in Div. III.6 a few weeks back. I used to be the manager of Chocolate Rain/Super Krew but gave up on the team to go on a long vacation. I have to say I am loving these posts from you Bballin, especially how you keep bringing up some of the Naismith team managers xD. Keep em' coming! Remember my teams name, they will be big in seasons to come ;)

As the playoffs loom much has changed in League III.7,
plenty of it surrounding the dissapearance of Shufflers owner, GM and coach mc5huffl35.
After bolting out of the gate 20-0, the Shufflers have forfieted back to back.
This has put the Quebec Pugs in a unique position.
The sure road loss at Kooky Arena in the land of Shuff turned to victory
An 18-4 finish became 19-3 and the Pugs would have HCA now if they reach the final.
Furthermore, the back to back forfiets have left the Shufflers with questionable game shape.
Of course game shape means nothing if your players don't make it to the arena.
Finally, The Steamrollers, sitting on a multi million dollar mountain of cash did nothing at the deadline
and now have no chance in the first playoff.
The Pugs have all the advantages heading to the post season.
Now, the real games begin.

One and Dones

Today was the first day for playoffs. All 5 candidates for the One and Done award were in the playoff hunt. Unfortunately only one team won their playoff game.

West-End Mudbugs and RUMpage were both number 3 seeds and were subsequently dealt with handily. This has opened the door for other teams competing for the award. Yukon Golddiggers the sole number 2 seed were upset in a big game and the manager has not been seen for interviews. Apparently not used to div III media yet. expo2012 was easily defeated as a number 4 seed. Seems like 2012 is not the lucky year for this expo. Finally SlipperyWhenWet(25081) was the only team to advance and the manager was contacted after.

Bballin: "Poscow! Poscow! What do you have to say about your teams victory today?"

Poscow: "I have a solid team and a number 3 finish was just to improve other peoples confidence. I have the soon to be number 1 team in BB. Watch."

Very Bold Statements from the young manager, here is what other managers had to say about this,

Greerzilla,
"Why do you keep asking me questions that are not related to my re-election? You better not post that, I will look like a total jerk! Bballin stop writing this down! I know where you live...."

Mr. Burns,
"You see here Bballin, all your questions can be answered with one simple question. Can you please unchain me?"

Jenny10,
"Am I the first female on here? Wow, would you like to go somewhere after this?"

So, it seems once again no one cares. Oh well I must be going some creepy Dr.Roam fellow keeps following me around and trying to get locks of my hair. I am really scared. Sometimes when I am sleeping I feel like I am being watched. If GM-beanerz did not steal my security this would not be a problem...
