Question for all:
The last three times I have changed doctors I have had an injury the next game. Larin got hurt right after the last doctor change. Anyone else ever notice anything like this? (I seldom get injuries otherwise).

I complained about the same thing either last season or the season before. I do feel injuries consistently consistently happen after dr switch but it has to be bias. It's definitely not programmed in... can't be.

If I believed PT would lose a few games I'd think about tanking cup and trying for HCA... but nah. Ready for that war next season. :D

Well, it won't be much of a war but if that's what you want to call it to feel better about your chances, then you're welcome to delude yourself. :p
I still don't get why you don't make a push now, if PT wants to advance in the cup, he'll have to tank games, including likely the next game. And you have a game against him at home. Plus, Arsenault just went down. And Green Machines has had players go down consistently all season. Or you can load up to make a run in the cup.

Meh, feel free to get HCA but leave cup for me :D
Fresh, I dont think there is a single team that is not going to tank on saturday except for those who are out of the cup already. Games should be fun with some surprising results.

Well, if you knew your opponent was tanking, wouldn't you try to do just a bit more than them to win the game? Especially if you had an easier opponent for Tuesday

Maybe, but its taking a risk of losing revenue from the cup. Besides, both my team and Superfreakys (my opponent on saturday) have league II opponents. Mine seems to be bit harder but I have HCA there so not sure if either of us can truly save players, especially without having an idea what will be required to win on thursday.

Now, situation would be different if it wasnt for Arsenualts injury but thats not the case

For your case I'd agree, but I just don't think it can be inferred that all teams in the cup will tank today. There are cases which it may be worth taking the risk.

True.

Well, looks like Superfreakys didnt tank at all. Wonder if he plans to play all 3 games with starters this week? Thats a valid option if you count on decent cup draw next week and can afford GS hit.

I just used 1 starter so didnt expect much. Stajan tanking and losing as well so the HCA in red conference isnt going to change after this week. Green Machines seem to be on a good path to win though so they retake the lead in the race to HCA in the finals and fend off Superfreakys for at least one more week

I think beanz came out the biggest winner today. Got the W and saved his best players for the next 2 games. And it looks like a couple Naismith teams may be vulnerable on Thursday if they get a bad draw.

Me tanking against you early on signified my loss of HCA and hope for winning this season. Easy decision as I hadn't loaded up and couldn't win the game.

Calling people's bluffs next season and hoping their teams are weaker than current PT and GM. I absolutely must go all-in next season due to age and training exemption. I just came to that realization, and it sucks. I think all 3 of my trainee exception SFs will be back-ups or reserves at less-than-optimal positions because they're frighteningly bad.

I can't wait until Hernandez and Kaimakis are finally playing their normal positions, and I cash in for some more players. You'll realize how wrong you were :p

I realize right now if you're making that statement. That's fine, just unfortunate timing. I'm unlikely to do GS training, so you'll cruise to conference HCA if you want it. I'll likely have a crazy payroll in playoffs but will be dependent on GDP + random luck to overcome HCA. Basically, you should win.
