I'm newly in the business of taking bad players off teams. I can also help ;)

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

My plan is too get Andras Hamar to Proficient (9) in OD and JR an JS , 8 in passing , and then train ID to 11 and IS to 11.

Oleg Lupashko will just tag along with the training until i get better trainees in the draft hopefully.

The 2nd guy really is only 'decent'. His Is makes it hard to convert him into an SF, so he's essentially a guard who trains a bit slower. I dont really think either one is worthy of being a long term SF option for you. I think their potential limits their ability to be that good. With hamar, you really have to decide whether or not you want him to put up points, put up good defense, or be meh but be meh everywhere. I think with his low 4 at RB and his IS at 7, I would lean towards offense. In fact, him getting into Is will directly aid Lupashko's growth (regardless of your views on him, he would need to improve on a 1.

The other reason i am not overly impressed with either is they both have a hole in stamina or FT. I don't know if Lupashko has foul issues, but usually 1 stamina makes it hard to get 48 in 1 game. 4 is good enough for Hamar, but he will not make more than a few FT's per season, and this can hurt performance while your developing players (hamar is less of an issue if you don't think you need to compete short term, Lupashko's stamina if it causes him to foul out is almost a death sentence until you fix it).

Edit: I'm not a pro talent guru or anything, this is just what i see.

If i were to make these two into look inside bigs, i'd need a couple of things.

1) I'd need one of them to get to 10-11 JS so he could play PF for me. PF's still take a relatively high amount of jumpers on my team when i run LI.

2) I'd want to improve Kalcos' HA, direct training or indirect training, past the 1 rating it has. It's easier to train perimeter ratings early on in my opinion.

3) Because PF's take a significant amount of jumpers, I think you need to also pump up some OD to better defend against teams who have nice JS like you might have if you increase your JS as suggested.

4) I would most likely suggest to keep Is on the highest end of the rotation. In other words, Kalcos has a 9/7/7/8 right now with IS being on the high end at that 9. I would keep it slightly above the rest, and i wouldn't train SB anymore.

It'd be a bit of a painful out of position training session, and it changes dramatically if you are playing a different strategy. Base offense for example will require both the C and PF to have 10-11 JS, it will require every player on your team to have high secondaries for their positions.

As per the usual, i am no expert, this is merely what i would do if they were my trainees and i wanted to keep them for the long haul. I feel too many a GM don't make well rounded players, and they're too expensive for me on the market.

He'd get to 11-12 in IS without trying too hard later in his training. If you ignore JS, you ignore roughly 30% of his shots he takes.

You might make that work out in D.IV, but once you hit D.III, teams will have more od on their bigs than just 3-4, and you might start going 0-6 from your JS shots. If you have 20 shots, and 8 are inside shots, 5 are driving, 6 are JS, and 1 is a 3 ptr..... you're likely going something closer to 7-20 instead of 10-20 or 11-20. It would go down towards 5-20 and 8-20 as you hit better teams with even better players, but you get the idea. You can't really go much higher on IS by ignoring JS because of how cap hits work.

It does the secondary training and simulates elastic effect. Cross training is purported to be entirely random and therefore probably not productive to model.
