They have Dacquean Cook and now Nate who can knock down a 3 as well as James Harden but yeah, they're not exactly lights out or anything from 3 point range.
Westbrooks strength is his driving and mid range jumper.

Something that hasn't been mentioned is the Nazr Mohammed pickup which i like too as he's another good interior defender, rebounder and shotblocker and can put in a shot every now and then.
I did like Jeff Green but i think OKC did pretty well today (assuming Perkins stays healthy). Overnight OKC has gone from fairly weak inside defensively and rebounding wise to fairly strong in that department without really having to lose all that much.

outside scoring is not just about 3pt shots...

westbrook = mid range and drive
harden = 3pts and some drive
durant = everywhere.

maybe not outside scoring but their perimeter players are scoring beast so doesnt that qualify as outside scoring?

outside scoring in the nba is deemed as 3 point shooters or long 2 pointers (of which thunder is terrible) - mid range shooters are mid range shooters ie westbrook , carmello ,etc .

i go for the thunder and i love this trade but calling them beastly from the outside is a joke.

so 2 decent 3pt shooter is not enough to qualify as a good outside team?

they would put up better numbers if they have an inside scoring presence...

and per usu, you guys take things too seriously... whats wrong with calling a team beast... I call everything beastly so...

laters :p

In other news :
"The Charlotte Bobcats traded the face of their young franchise, Gerald Wallace(notes), to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday for a package that includes two first-round picks as owner Michael Jordan cuts payroll and eyes the future.

In a deal completed seven minutes before the trade deadline, the Bobcats agreed to part ways with the last original member of the 7-year-old franchise. The Bobcats acquired a conditional 2011 first-round pick Portland obtained from New Orleans and a conditional 2013 first-rounder from the Trail Blazers.

Also heading to Charlotte are center Joel Przybilla(notes), reserve forward Dante Cunningham(notes) and center Sean Marks(notes), who are in the last year of their contracts, and cash."

Wos that is some crazy stuff.. Portland will be packed at the SSF position now, Jordan just gave away his best player for nothing.. just to save himself a few million. hahah Best player of all time, worse owner/GM of all time.

I dunno, they're clearly in a rebuilding phase and Gerald Wallace's ain't getting any younger, which isnt good for someone whose whole game relies on athletic ability and energy. This way they save money and get draft picks, sounds decent enough to me.

They picked up Mo Peterson and DJ White from OKC for Nazr Mohammed too so they're clearly just trying to clear up some cap space and get a few picks at the moment.

whats all the hype about Jimmer...

His range is pretty average if you look at his games... can hit from the NBA 3pt line but his signature move - the big jump step thing that he does and then shoot a 3... he can only do it on the college 3 pt line and its always step to the left even if its very quick, if you read it or dont stick to the college 3pt line, come up and defend more aggressively.. it can be stop so it wont be as effective in the NBA.

he doesnt have the handles to create his own shots.
