Possible pros:
- small nation managers might welcome the influx of new teams, boosting competition levels

They may welcome that influx, but who? I personally doubt new managers will welcome that influx, they will found themselves in a division full of experimented managers without chances of rise to next division until many seasons have passed.

- might help reduce cheating

or it might increase... more work for gms could mean less attention and soft hand with cheaters

- doubles the fun for active managers

doubles the fun for *supporter* active managers

- increases BB income, increasing the advertisement and development budget

It will certainly increase the bb income, the advertisement (at least between supporters, dont think non-supporters will talk much about if its not for criticize it), no doubt about that, but it actually seems to me that thats the only thing this looks for, i would compare in real life to remove the middle-class, you give more to those who have more and you just give less security to those players who dont have supporter packs in this case giving them less space on their country leagues, less chances to grow up with their teams and more reasons to make them suspect about those 2ndary teams chances to cheat...

I must also say that i havent seen any non-supporter saying that he/she supports the idea of the 2ndary teams, that makes me think that this poll will be ruled by those who spend more time in the game wich 90% of times are supporters so i dont think im wrong if i bet that "yes" will win the poll.
It all depends on what BBs want, if making the tiypical clients more loyal or looking for more players forthe game, actually looks like the first option is what 2ndary teams look for.

Possible cons:
- some managers might not like to see foreigners in their country/league
- Supporters might have a direct advantage over others by having double the amount of matches to test their strategies on (even though they already have Private Leagues to do that)
- some countries might use the feature to collude in farming schemes

These are just few, but the ones i comment before are a good begining to think about.

Just to end with my contribution i will say i just think that making non-supporters pay 10$ or the amount you want is just ridiculous, you would make another class of supporters, it wont benefit supporters who will not receive well that and it will make those non-supporters pay if they want to have that chance. supporters = pay, non-supporters = dont pay.
I wouldnt criticize some ideas but dont lose the main point: Buzzerbeater is a free game.

I dont care about most of the suggestions as i think it has pros and cons as marin has said but i vote NO cause i think it will be worse for the future of the game.

Second Team:
The Ironmen
An Idea:

Instead of adding second teams to existing countries how about creating three new countries by time-zone. Asia, Europe/Africa, Americas.

All teams start in D4. Each season at the end of the season the best D4 teams move up to D3 and so on. Once teams achieve D1 then the D1 winner and Cup champion would be able to qualify for B3.

If space in the first 3 countries fill up then can create new ones.

How about you make the second team kind of like a minor league team? Where you can send your young players down to it for more playing time? And they only play in leagues with other minor league teams. Of course you can still set limitations to it but I think that would be pretty cool.

Second Team:
Old Town BC
I am fully supporting the idea. First it is creating an increased number of active teams which may attract an additional number of users, when advertised properly. Secondly gives the opportunity of accelerating the learning curve of users in countries with smaller number of users since more experienced users will join. This eventually may increase the number of users in those countries via word of mouth. Finally will give one more reason to supporters to stay more in the game. So from the business perspective it is a good idea.

My only concern is the exclusion from bb3. There should be no ceiling in that case. I recommend that in case a second team wins the div 1 or the cup then the first native team in ranking also joins bb3. So those players choose to be no supporters are not penalised.

I have one question also: the money collected will be to open up the game in which market? Is there a strategy there or we will shoot for any user possible in any country? Will the marketing go to increase teams were basketball is established or to countries were a big high tech population exists? Do we need to open up more to Asia or go more into Americas and Europe? Just thinking loudly...

if we go for countries that currently have small number of users then we may need to think about creating regional divisions were teams from many countries with small number of users plus second teams are competing. Eg. Instead of only 28 teams in India we can group several other teams from other countries plus second teams and then more countries are developing and competing immediately. Again thinking loudly...

Thanks for answering:

Q2) The first to ask a team in a country would get the place. Your idea for the launching of the option could work with advantage for oldest Supporter.

still a doubt. Different Timezone, what time should you choose to open the 2nd team subscription? should be unfair against the people in "bed-time" at that moment? otherwise i ask now for a Barbados seat ;)

T2) This thread is to discuss. BBB and other things are up to change if ever implented.

i refer to 2nd team BBB rule, and i'm one who's against this rule. If my 2nd team, with a miracle, will reach BBB, i'm happy to participate. Also Because is my only chance. I'm in a stable situation (12 season in same Division but never playout) and with difficult i will leave my loved III.13 with my first team.

T4) Opinions are mixed on an Utopia / second server. But to those going that direction, keep in minde that a new server would be extremely different to what you currently have here in terms of players and market. Gameplay would be the same, but not the pool of players. Timezone and language would be another thing too.

So, probably, i misunderstood.
