Your right, but my point is this: who would pay 1m for a lvl 7 doctor while a lvl 5 will do? What will a lvl 7 doctor do? Reduce the maximum duration of an injury from 4 weeks (with lvl 5) to 2 or 3 weeks?

that's not my point...

my point is what would the other teams chances gonna have, when other teams bid for a bigger bid... unlike the old system wherein it's okay to get staff because the supply never runs out...

and why would they necessarily invest that sort of amount on staff even if they did?

because if they don't invest that sort of amount, they'll never get the staff... i'm more on giving the main point out of a big picture... not specifying one example...

anyways, this is what the new system is all about... completely different from the old system... wherein you only hope that the staff of the week is in level 10, if they do, you can even buy the trainer on friday (hongkong time)

As far as I can tell, higher level doctors still don't heal your players quicker. They will only reduce the lenght of an injury when it happens..

Once a player is injured, a Doctor will also help him heal more quickly, but the effect is much smaller than the initial reduction in severity.
So he heals too, but probably this effect isn't very appreciable

I wonder if the effect of the speciality is depending on the level of the staff, or if the effect is the same regardless of the overall skill.

That's a very good question

If you can't afford a top class staff member, you simply shouldn't buy it (in common). Don't forget that a level 5 now, equals the lvl 9/10 in the old system. There is no need at all for a team in div III or IV or V to hire a top class rare lvl 6 or 7 assistent imo.

I saw you mentioned in the other thread that you might want a lvl 7 because staff members tend to drop in skill, that's not going to happen anymore in the new system. Their salary will rise, but the skill won't drop.

@thijs, doctors will help healing the players faster as stated in the rules

yeah.. i have that in mind... but i was wondering about the additional two levels... lvl 6 & 7... wherein it means that the top level limit in the old system was added by a more efficient (if you will) level of training/healing/marketing

and so, i realize, that and old system lvl 9/10 would be equal to lvl 5 in the new system, would also mean that a level 6 = 11/12, and 7=13/14

therefore, the old 9/10 is the new 11/12 ~ 13/14

i hope my post makes sense...

Beyond all Q's and comments all changes are hell of a good job.
They sure do know very well how to increase the level of the gameplay.
Thanks very much.

No that's the point, you can't compare the new lvl 6 and 7 with anything in the old system, since it just wasn't there. The new lvl 6 and 7 are just the new top of the bill staff members.

If you had a lvl 10 in the old system, you can be satisfied with the lvl 5 now, there won't be a change in training speed or whatsoever.

I agree with KingJames, this sure is a great improvement to the staff system, nice job!

Keep in mind that there are currently 12 lvl.6 trainers and 1 lvl.7 trainer. Unless those numbers rise at least 10x, it's a waste of time worrying about them since they have no impact on the game whatsoever.

I'm puzzled

I know what the demand of staff decides, but what decides the supply of the staff (of a certain level)?

You generate money by training, training is affected by your trainer, your trainer is affected by the available amount of money....

This is a measure which doesn't improve the game, moving up in the game becomes a lot more difficult by a low amount of supply (of any level of staff), that's surely something the developers shouldn't want.

As it is now, it certainly doesn't seem to be a good development for the game experience.
