Here we are!

1) Mountain Eagles Projected Record: 20-2
Lince and Marino are back, and they demanded the money bags! 2 of the highest earning players in the league, tough will have the challenge of finding suitable backup singers for the 2 main guys in the Mountain. Oullette and Staley are a start though, the new guard upgrade hopes to add some punch to them and propel them to the top.

2) Gunslingers Projected Record: 18-4
Guns are back and looking like they are reloading. Macolino has continued to develop, and he's a fine center now. So much that Slinger is confident and is selling off Alli. He might lay low for a bit and buy another PF closer to playoff, but this backcourt is proven and they are legitimately a piece away from just taking the top off the league. Once Alli goes I do have him just a notch below MTE.

3) King Drive Ballers Projected Record: 16-6
KDB survived the relegation battle! For good reason too, both his youngins decided to also demand a pay raise. The seasoning of last season seems to have made the guard dishes ready, and Brian has since complemented them with a solid supporting trio of players, and we'll see if he has promotion up his sleeve this season. He is poised to make a deep run for sure!

4) Green Bay Gunners Projected Record: 14-8
I expect the Great 8 to be a great war again, so not much room for error otherwise you could end up being 7th instead of 2nd in the conference. With that being said, our demotee seems pretty solid with 2 star players and a barrage of roleplayers to help fill in the gaps. We'll see if he wants to claw back to II right away or let the other teams battle it out first.

5) Bonham Bricklayers Projected Record: 14-8
The Brickoffs have survived their relegation series, and Berman and co. are ready to pounce on the opportunity for promotion! Bonham boast a pretty high salaried team, that otherwise would wipe the floor in the Great 8, but with the 2 boogey men in MTE and Guns still around, they might need another upgrade if they want to say something about a top 2 finish in the Big 8...

6) Forza Jazz Projected Record: 13-9
The Jazz have made it back to the league! Despite not running back to the Big 8 to face their arch rival Eagles, Justin finds himself and star Daigle out over in the Great 8 Gauntlet. Tommy G I remember was a awesome SBer, and this time he looks to have the depth to stick around. I thought he has money too? IDK but we'll find out how competitive he wants to be soon

7) Globo Gym Projected Record: 13-9
Nikebones did amazing last season! Prestige and crew held it down and even gave AZ a run for their money last playoffs! However, Thong and Fart are no more, as they've brought in Jay Cutler to upgrade the front court. I'll be keeping watch though, as it seems like their guard trainee trio is set to take off imminently!

8) Asingratitos BC Projected Record: 12-10
The Rent-A-Player team strikes again! Who will he buy this time? His bankroll seems fresh and he is training a player in Ad Humphreys. We'll see who gets to guest star in his show again this season, and thankfully this time there won't be any beef to cook...right? I don't expect teams to go easy on him this year though, so expect a ton of Normals out the gate to combat the Rent-A-Player strat.

9) Janitor Crew Projected Record: 10-12
Antwon makes it here in this rankings, not because his team sucks but as he's reloading his U21 farm, Daocai will be sent to another team and Minfu will have to pickup the pieces with 3 new 18 year olds! He should have the depth and starpower to beat any relegation opponent, but I do see a world where he's losing a bunch to begin the season.

10) AMC Spirits Projected Record: 11-11
The talent gap between the Big 8 top 3 teams and AMC is pretty big, however AMC has been able to churn out playoff finishes each of the past few seasons he's been in the league, so I'm gonna go on a limb and count on him to do it again. Another season older, his team is balanced and has depth for days. Also a Swiss U21 player, congrats! We'll see how he manages to hit above his belt as the season goes on.

11) Woodward Avenue Warriors Projected Record: 9-13
A good assortment of talent, and a nice little niche developing a ton of Ghana players! Woodward makes his debut in Division III, and we'll see what he has going in the coming weeks. I will say with the competitiveness in this league he's gotsta be ready, otherwise he will get gobbled up.

12) Pittsburgh Peacocks Projected Record: 7-15
It's not that I don't think they're good; they got a good collection of players. But running LI every game is gonna takes its toll on the court side of things, as many teams without as high of salaries are gonna end up eclipsing you in terms of strategy. If they can switch it up and have a reliable backup option, I'll put them higher. But I can't put them higher than 11 right now in the rankings.

13) Fondy Cardinals Projected Record: 7-15
Seems like a BFT clone, built around a prolific scorer and a decent supporting cast. Batlak seems to have the juice, however the depth over at the bigs seems to be an issue. Also add in the fact that he hasn't survived in a III league for over a season tells me there's something else wrong. I hope I'm wrong though and that he can survive in this III for another season though!

14) Social Security Kings Projected Record: 6-16
Hoskins is amazing, it's what outside of Hoskins that has me worried. SSK will need to get some upgrades, as of right now I don't think many of the Big 8s has a chance to beat out the Great 8s in a relegation series, so there might be additions necessary in order to stay alive in the division.

15) SW Rebels Projected Record: 2-20
Their second appearance in III, SW has a build of a typical D4 team. Not that its bad, but in order to stick around in the big leagues he will have to either get some trainees or upgrade his starting lineup some! A roster of 17, I'm sure he can make some trades to bolster the starting unit, otherwise the cellar of Big 8 is where he'll be at for this season.

16) Broughton Capitals Projected Record: 1-21
A relatively new team, the Capitals also have a build of a D4 team. This is also his first time in III, so everyone say hi! He is selling some players so maybe he's due to make some upgrades, but right now he's the punching bag in the competitive Big 8.

Some quick facts!

Last season, the Big 8 got murdered, only have 3 teams above .500, while the Great 8 went 7/8 in teams aboe .500, even the last place team (a Botified BFT) had a respectable 8-14 record compared to Big 8 6 seed Bonham Bricklayers (4-18)

This season the Great 8 poses to be the stronger conference again, despite not having the top end salaries of Gunslingers and Eagles. They also have more managers training in the conference in contrast to the Big 8, who seem to do more buying and trading.

AMC alluded to this last season, it being a "2 Man Race" at the top of each division, could this be why no one in the Big wants to spend? Gunslingers and Eagles are at the top, with 467k and 400k salaries, respectively and have yet to make a commanding promotion bid, beating each other up so much that neither of them can qualify for the Silver Ticket to II. Bonham this year looks to try to keep up at 387k, but after those (and the LI Peacocks) its a big drop off to the 290s.

Forgot to make an All III.1 First team last year, but I'll have that in the coming this year! Let me know what your predictions for III.1 First Team and Second Team will be, and I'll make mine soon!

good stuff as always man!

He is poised to make a deep run for sure!

...and hopefully stay solvent enough for cup/bbm money!

Big 8 did win 2 of 3 relegation battles. Balance of power was great 8 tho, also seeing AZ sweep the finals. Fun season.

Thanks for the welcome! It's awesome to see an active forum with a plethora of recognizable usernames here. When I got put in league one I immediately was like "Oh, its the usernames I saw coming up in YouTube videos when I first started the game." While I don't expect to do much this season, I think I can at least hang around for a while. I'm still feeling out what the economics are going to look like in Div3. I can already tell that I am going to get crushed on the boards, but not everyone can afford to pay prime Andre Drummond. I'll probably stand pat, keep training the core guys, and see where this season takes us!

I appreciate the Ghana shout out too! At one point I had a few people working together to develop purely Ghanaian players for U21/NT, but we never were able to actually get into a leadership role there because of the small voting population. It was a fun experiment, and at one point we had over 24 players being developed. Alas, we kind of gave up after not getting guys promoted who clearly were better than what was on the team, especially on the U21 side.

Day 2 Recaps:

Gunslingers Annihilate Kings in 74-Point Blowout!

My goodness! The Gunslingers just put on an absolute defensive clinic at The Ranch, completely dismantling the Social Security Kings in a 111-37 jaw-dropper.

The Kings simply had no answers, shooting a frigid 14.5% from the field (12-for-83) and an unbelievable 1-for-24 from three-point range.

The Gunslingers dominated every facet, moving the ball for 35 assists and owning the paint. M. Macolino was an absolute force, posting a monster double-double with 13 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 massive blocks. Center B. Alli nearly matched him with 11 boards of his own. R. Taylor (20 points) and M. Vasil (16 points) led the scoring barrage.

This statement win moves the Gunslingers to 1-1, while the Kings must regroup after falling to 1-1.

Peacocks Soar Past Rebels in High-Scoring Road Win! 🏀

The Pittsburgh Peacocks brought the offensive firepower to SW Rebels Arena, securing a decisive 129-104 road victory! It was raining buckets all night!

Pittsburgh absolutely dominated inside, led by monstrous double-doubles from H. Maluco (25 pts, 16 reb) and G. Škalec (24 pts, 17 reb, 3 blk). The ball movement was electric, with point guard A. Sannazuro dishing out 15 assists to go with his 21 points, and T. Opstrup adding 10 dimes and 15 points.

The Rebels fought hard, paced by an incredible 40-point explosion from G. Laflamme, who drained 8 three-pointers! However, the Peacocks' balanced attack and control of the boards (57-36 rebound advantage) proved too much.

The Peacocks climb to 1-1, while the Rebels remain winless at 0-2.

Asingratitos BC Outlasts Forza Jazz in Thrilling Shootout!

What a barnburner at JJ Apps Arena! Asingratitos BC remained undefeated, edging out Forza Jazz 122-117 in an absolute offensive explosion that had the 19,256 fans on the edge of their seats.

R. Chudyk was masterful for Asingratitos, dropping 31 points and dishing 12 assists, including six triples! The frontcourt was monstrous, with N. Say yong (18 pts, 19 reb) and D. Saavedra Quijano (17 pts, 18 reb) dominating the glass. I. Paez flirted with a triple-double (23 pts, 9 reb, 8 ast).

Forza Jazz fought valiantly, led by D. Daigle's 32 points and four players scoring over 20, including Z. Jordon (24 pts) and D. Neal (21 pts, 14 reb). T. Goldstein was immense defensively with 19 boards and 5 blocks.

Asingratitos improves to 2-0, while Forza Jazz falls to 1-1.

Mountain Eagles Defend Home Court, Ground SPIRITS!

The Mountain Eagles soared to victory at Dodge Arena, taking down AMC SPIRITS 90-75 in a nationally televised league matchup! Despite the SPIRITS playing with higher intensity, the Eagles' home crowd fueled a strong performance.

R. Lince was an absolute monster in the paint for the Eagles, putting up a massive 26 points, 12 rebounds, and swatting away 7 shots! What a defensive statement! C. Staley chipped in with 25 points, while T. Ouellette anchored the defense with 12 boards, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

AMC SPIRITS got solid scoring from C. Monteil (23 pts) and C. Girón Ruiz (20 pts, 9 reb), but the Eagles' dominance on the glass (56-41 rebound advantage) proved too much.

The Eagles stay perfect at 2-0, while the SPIRITS fall to 1-1.

KDB Stays Perfect, Crushes Globo Gym with Rebounding Dominance!

KDB defended their home court with authority, cruising past Globo Gym 85-64 to remain undefeated! The KDB Arena crowd witnessed a display of absolute control on the boards.

Leading the charge was Power Forward Y. Heinke, who put up a staggering 15 points and a mind-blowing 22 rebounds, adding 5 assists and 3 blocks for good measure! WHAT A PERFORMANCE! The entire KDB frontcourt feasted, with W. Partridge (12 pts, 14 reb) and T. Havens (14 pts, 11 reb) also securing double-doubles. F. Jiafan added 18 points.

Globo Gym struggled mightily from the field, shooting just 28.7%. Despite 18 points each from B. Salgado, L. Dingfu, and C. Debackere, they couldn't overcome KDB's 60-47 rebounding advantage.

KDB moves to a perfect 2-0, while Globo Gym falls to 1-1.

Gunners Win Absolute SCORCHER Over Cardinals!

The scoreboard is smoking at Tundra Temple! The Green Bay Gunners outgunned the Fondy Cardinals in a ridiculous 149-131 track meet.

The Gunners' offense was unstoppable, shooting 61% and dishing out 35 assists. M. Bin-Sulayman was a legend, erupting for 36 points and 18 rebounds! Point guard M. Jackson was just as absurd, posting a 33-point, 14-assist double-double. W. Shou Mei (25 pts, 12 reb, 7 ast) and F. Dufour (22 pts, 9 ast, 4 stl) added to the onslaught.

The Cardinals, playing fast-paced, simply couldn't keep up despite shooting 17-for-33 from deep. D. Aliferovich (28 pts) and S. Batlak (25 pts, 7 reb, 7 ast) led the valiant effort.

The Gunners get their first win (1-1), while the Cardinals drop to 0-2.

Capitals Get First Win, Handle Janitor Crew at Home

The Broughton Capitals notched their first victory of the season, putting the clamps on Jim Almeidas Janitor Crew for a solid 98-77 win.

The Capitals' defense was the story, nabbing 14 steals and forcing 21 turnovers. M. Porter led the offensive charge with 26 points and 6 rebounds, while N. Burkett added 20 points and 5 assists. A. Noriega was a menace on D, snagging 4 steals.

The Janitor Crew fought hard on the glass (56-36 advantage) but couldn't overcome their sloppy play. M. Knight was a bright spot with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals. Center M. Boyer also posted a big double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

The Capitals (1-1) celebrate their first win, while the Janitor Crew (0-2) continues to search for answers.

Bricklayers Stay Perfect, Dominate Warriors on the Road!

The Bonham Bricklayers are on fire! They rolled into the M-1 Superdome and secured a commanding 106-86 victory over the Woodward Avenue Warriors, pushing their perfect record to 2-0.

The Bricklayers put on a team basketball clinic, dominating the glass (53-32) and moving the ball with purpose (33 assists). The scoring was beautifully balanced: K. Al-Hamdan led the charge with 28 points and 6 assists, while C. Donnelly added 20 points and 5 dimes. The frontcourt was a wall, with E. Berman (18 pts, 15 reb) and J. Gonzáles (9 pts, 15 reb) cleaning up inside.

The Warriors, led by Y. Diarra's 22 points, just couldn't match the visitors' firepower or intensity, falling to 0-2.
