The ElectricTriangles capped off an incredible Season 59 run as champions in League III.3. Starting the playoffs as the #4 seed, the team had some luck against every opponent they faced by playing with a higher effort in 3 of the 4 playoff victories. Game 3 of the final was ultimately won thanks to the effort of the young defensive duo of Joan McLean and Simao Ribeira Brava, who combined for 14 blocks against the opposing team's dominant big men.
The season also featured an 83-81 Tier 7 BBM championship victory
(123359514) as Mino Narcone hit a go-ahead putback with 2 seconds left. As the #7 seed throughout bracket play, the BBM run was another example of the underdog ElectricTriangles defying the odds and beating higher-ranked opponents.
The ElectricTriangles also made it to the round of 16 in the USA National Tournament, where they suffered an overwhelming defeat against the eventual champion.
The manager had this to say about the season: "I'm proud of the fight my guys gave throughout the season. I want to thank Mino, Mick, Makarios, Miele, and especially Konstantinas, who have since retired or have departed, for the effort they've given this season and in seasons past for several of those guys. Konstantinas has been inducted into our Hall of Fame, as he's the franchise leader in games, points, and assists. You'll be missed."
The team is looking to stay afloat in its first season ever in DII, relying on some new acquisitions and the young talent who helped them on last season's run.
