CEO MrJ spoke briefly at a press conference earlier today. "We are a week away from becoming 100% Home-Grown. It's very exciting here [Team HQ]," MrJ explained. "The process of becoming HG has been intensive and is finally being implemented. On a sad note, we will be losing 6 players this week; we thank each for their support this season. On a positive, our Small Forward trainee and future HOF player, Timi 'Taipan' Steggall is being allowed to play a starter role this week in his position; I'm sure fans will enjoy that," MrJ continued ignoring questions from reporters. "And finally, I would just like to say that we are very excited by the draft class and have already signed a huge contract with a 19 year old. I repeat, 'a huge contract'," MrJ stressed. "So, as the Swan River Serpents start their HG journey, I would just like to thank all of our supporters who never waivered. It might be tough next season, but we will return to the ABBL in time!. Thank you."
