Coach John Marcum was asked to stop by for a chat by the boys on Inside the DIV.66. Many topics were considered, including a quick take on how the season went:
"Arrows are pointing up. Training is coming along. Attendance is up. Fans are positive. But all these points need nuance. Lowson and Raitums are approaching 25, the end of training, but they may have troubles getting to 110 TSP. That should not be a problem for Fadel; for the other four trainees, we're coming close to simply icing on the finished product. i'm guessing we will have a serious draft in two seasons; we're stocking up draft points.
"Weekly profit is still well short of our goal of $100,000 / wk. Adding $1 million for the season is feasible, but not easy. Making the finals should aid attendance early next season, and maybe we'll get a win streak going. Merchandise still is 40% over league averages, which is gratifying. Finishing the arena would take $2 million and could be done at any time.
"The roster is settled, I think. We have three main trainees, four who get what they can, one trained young veteran, and three players who add depth and we hope to replace with the S68 draft. At some point I hope we reach a talent level to advance to DIII.
"You make a good point -- where do the Big Purchases go, how do they fit into this roster? I dunno, but when I see the Utopian NT player I want, I'll find a place for him."
